Tomorrow makes 100 days!

Tomorrow makes 100 straight days of 24/7 calf fasciculations! Anxiety comes and goes in waves but doing pretty good rn! My PCP did blood work and came back clean but didn’t recommend me see a neurologist so I have not seen one. My theory is either stress/anxiety related as mine started when I started a rotation in the hospital and I came down with a cold day one. My other theory is that I have had these for a while but just never noticed (I don’t know for sure). Anyone else have 24/7 twitches in both calves?

PCP visit today about my calf fasciculations… left feeling the same

I went to my PCP today because my calves have been twitching nonstop and it’s been sending my health anxiety through the roof. I honestly walked out feeling worse than when I went in.
I explained everything—the constant fasciculations, how my anxiety comes in waves (one day I’m fine, the next I’m spiraling). All he did was test dorsiflexion and plantarflexion strength, sensation, and ankle clonus. He didn’t check reflexes, didn’t look at my calves, didn’t try to see the twitching, nothing. It felt like he barely examined the actual issue I came in for.
His take-home message was basically: "Fasciculations just happen, we don’t really know why, but I’m not worried since you’re not reporting burning or numbness." I get that from a clinical perspective, but it did zero to help my brain chill out. When I mentioned the massive anxiety swings, he just brushed it off as normal. I left feeling completely unheard.
I’m going back tomorrow for blood work (CBC, electrolytes, thyroid, CK, CRP, etc.). I’m glad he ordered labs, but I’m still frustrated that he didn’t do a full neuro screen or even look at the actual twitching. It feels like he just wrote off my concerns, and now my anxiety is way worse.
Just needed to vent to people who get it, because this appointment did next to nothing for my peace of mind.

I need everyone’s opinion.

I made the mistake of looking up fasciculations on TikTok and sure enough a bunch of ALS content pops up. Everyone’s videos talks about how the twitching was the first symptom even before weakness started. Reading many comments it’s the same thing. At what point is it safe to assume twitching is benign? Can twitching show up first before any weakness? Is a Neurological exam enough or should we request an EMG? I’ve been having bilateral calf fasciculations for 87 days now. All started when I started an internship in the hospital and started coming down with a virus day one.

Anyone else get a buzzing/quivering sensation?

I swear the last week I’ve been getting a buzzing/quivering sensation on my right upper calf near my knee. Anyone else get this?

Going to see my primary, what should I expect?

Like most of you, I have had bilateral calf fasciculations going on 3 months 24/7. I have finally had enough and I am going to see a primary. Should I request an EMG and blood work? Should I push to get a neurology referral or see what they say? Thanks.

Tips on ignoring calf twitching?

Anyone have any tips to ignore them? I get them 24/7 in both calves. Even when I don’t focus on them I feel them when I lay down or sit and it drives me nuts!

24/7 Fasciculations

24 y/o Male with 24/7 calf fasciculations in both calves. They legit don’t ever stop. I go to bed with them and wake up with them, they never stop. It’s so distracting I can’t do anything without always feeling them. I’ve been taking magnesium and b12 daily for weeks with no improvement.
