UW PC Monitor to YouTube help

Can someone be super nice and explain to me like I’m 5 how to get my gaming content created on an ultrawide monitor to NOT have black bars on the top and bottom? For ref, I use OBS for my game captures, have changed the resolution to match my computer’s and have tried enabling fit to screen. I’m sure there must be an easy way to do this? HALP
