Is this spoiled?

I made this maybe 4-6 weeks ago (fridge only) and now there’s this stuff floating at the top, is it bacteria? It didn’t smell bad tho. 🤷

Indie folk song lyrics “where the redwood grows”

Why is Tibetan Buddhism the only sect with the tulku system?

ELI5-sorry, I have never quite understood why Tibetan Buddhism is the only Buddhist sect that has the tulku reincarnation system. Does this exist in other Vajrayana sects? Why doesn’t Zen or Theravada practice this?

What is in Hung Phat herbal tea?

I tried this at a Buddhist temple. No idea what the herb blend is, tasted pretty good though. Does anyone drink this brand? Looks like they have several herbal teas. Blurry pic, sorry.

Veggie tacos?

Going for the hat trick* with the third taco post today. Who has good veggie tacos? I got spoiled before moving here, we had a place that would do nixtamalized carrots. Otherworldly goodness. *sorry I was hyped on WC. bad metaphor, as I did not make 3 consecutive taco posts myself…yet 😆

I just finished watching the 2016 documentary “Becoming Who I Was” about a young boy who is identified as a rinpoche and makes a great journey to fulfill his destiny. The boy’s name is Padma Angdu. The movie is now ten years old or so. Does anyone know what became of Padma or his devoted uncle?
