Stripper clip ID

Hi gang, seeking an ID on this stripper clip I pulled out of a scrap bin at work (7.62 NATO for scale)

Some of my mates have said U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, M1903 but they don’t have the little tabs at either end and they don’t look like they’ve been broken off

TIA 🫶🏾

Milsurp adjacent? Comrade Carbine

Started life as an NZ issued 1942 Savage No4 Mk1, the Comrade Carbine, named after the Jungle Carbine has been rechambered into 7.62x39 which uses the original barrel cut down to 16.5” (shortest legal length) and 10 shot SKK/AK pattern mags (our legal round limit)

Topped off with a B Square No Drill mount, Warne rings and a Zerotech 1-4x24 scope. Lives on a steady diet of Norinco’s finest steel case and will hopefully spend its life dropping pigs

Comrade Carbine dialed in!

Shot in the Zerotech scope yesterday. The group in the Centre is Norinco’s finest, group top left is the steel case Hornady SST ammo

Only at 50m but at least it’s Minute of Pig

My Fusil Mle 1907/15-M16

Manufactured in 1915 by St Étienne, and was rebarelled in 1918.

The Fusil Mle 1907 Berthier rifles were issued to the colonial troops and were shorter and had a bent bolt handle . The Mle 1907/15 was supplied to the front line troops as they were cheaper and easier to manufacture than the Lebel rifle. The -M16 designation refers to the change from a 3 shot magazine to a 5 shot which was most likely done post war
