Odd object found a new use, but what is it?

My grandpa has upgraded his dolly with this spoon like object he's had in his possession for decades. The hole in the top is threaded, he said there was a threaded rod like object that was in it previously that you could twist and the rod would go in and out of the scoop - big nail for demonstration purposes. He really wants to know what this was for originally, any ideas?

Progesterone has been amazing for me.

I am only 36! But I have been dealing with spotting & cramps a week before my period for about a year now, piss poor mood in luteal and an increasing difficulty with falling and staying asleep so I went to a telehealth Menopause provider and they said I should start progesterone and vaginal estrogen.

I was nervous about starting progesterone as it seems pretty split in terms of how well people tolerate it, but I am having such a good experience. It's leveled out my PMS and it knocks me tf out! I take it and need to sleep within 45 mins. I've also had no spotting, yay.

I was diagnosed with ADHD (ADD back then) in the 90s and try to keep up with the latest info, and learned how profoundly women with ADHD are affected by peri/menopause, so I have been hyper aware of how I'm changing, how I'm feeling and how my condition is manifesting in my life. This was another driver for persuing healthcare for perimenopause.

Hydronic 2 pipe fancoils & issues at cooling changeover

Hi everyone,

I'm a warranty manager for a highrise developer in Ontario. In our condos we install 2 pipe fancoils, we've used both Unilux & Omega in recent projects. These units have an aquastat for pipe temp sensing & controling the actuator, and then a seperate stat for electric heat. We've had issues in our last 3 buildings at cooling changeover and I'm trying to figure out some kind of process. We kind of have one but it isn't always reliable. This is what I understand to be the issue:

During shoulder season no one is using heat, there is a lack of flow through the fancoils on any given riser as no one is calling for heat, the ambient temp is enough for people. Building switches to cooling but theres no flow so the pipes don't get cold. People switch their thermostats to cooling but the pipes are not "cold" due to previous no flow so the aquastat is sensing "warm" and not opening the actuator. About half the time, we can have people turn back to heating and crank up the temp and this will open the actuator and get the cold water flowing and then they can switch back to cooling and be good for the rest of the season.

However, if the unit is already too hot, say 25 or 26 derees, you can't get enough of a differential to open the actuator as the max setting on the thermostat is 27 degrees. Sometimes we'll take the thermostat off and put it in the fridge for a minute, or manually open the valve. Both stupid and we can't ask residents to do these things themselves so I'm dispatching techs to take care of this. The actuators are on the inlet branch and literally as close to the riser as possible.

I'm thinking of increasing the max setpoint on the thermostats so the heat to cool thing might work better but I don't know. Has anyone dealt with this? What is the move, this is such an annoying problem. Thanks for sharing your experience and expertise.

Suddenly getting the strangest reels, mostly of Indian men abusing horses or their wives. What the hell? Why am I getting this content and why is it even allowed on the platform in the first place.

What is this, what brings me to this rabbithole of horrible shit.

Edit: I reported an account that was literally a video of a man striking a woman, assume his wife, in the head and holding her down by the wrists. "We didn't remove the account" what the fuck lol.
