Hi everyone! I’m considering purchasing a Patek 4960A and wanted your advice. My wrist is about 5.9 inches (15 cm), so I’m curious how this model would wear on a smaller wrist. I’ve been checking Chrono24, and factoring in customs duties, I’m curious what a reasonable all-in cost would be. I know it’s not mechanical, so opinions may differ, but I personally admire this size. I’m aiming to wear something that fits my wrist in a minimal, elegant style. Would love to hear your thoughts on both fit and current market pricing!

So recently I ordered leather straps for my 36 pilot,I asked if they can make flieger style strap and they made me this!

I noticed a tiny ding on the bezel, probably less than 1 mm. I can barely feel it with my fingernail, but it catches the light and that’s what bugs me. The worst part is that it seems to be right on the bezel edge.

Do you think a skilled polish could make it less noticeable in the future, or is this one of those things I just have to live with? Bezel dings always seem to bother me more than any other marks on a watch.

I know people often say that scratches and dings are just part of a watch’s story, and I do understand that. But at the same time, I’d feel a lot better if I knew that, even if it bothers me down the road, it could at least be made less noticeable.

I really wanted 36 black pilot watch but as you know this one’s already discontinued.

Do you think it’ll come back with the good movement in the future??

Aquanaut-style strap on a 36mm pilot watch.

I know a lot of people probably hate this combo — kind of like putting Ferrari wheels on a BMW — but honestly, I think it looks cool.

I’m not trying to pretend it’s an Aquanaut or anything. I’ve just always liked the texture and pattern of the strap.

What do you guys think?
