I’ve been told Hyundai has had some issues with engine or transmission or overall not being reliable. But within recent years has that changed any??

I made a post a few days ago asking about a Buick vs Mazda but during that time I ended up not wanting either which brings me back to my first choice which was the Kona. I had a Hyundai Santa Fe 2011 a few years ago and granted it had a rough start up and the windows were literally being held up with popsicle sticks but it ran like a champ.

I love the look and set up of the Kona but I don’t know much about this car and was wondering if Hyundai’s still had issues?

When asked to write a statement about an incident or partner does it usually ever go anywhere?

Or is it just a false hope that something may get done??

Anyone know what day in August the weekly pay starts?

Some partners have been wondering but we can’t seem to find the information anywhere!

Idk if it’s just me but since starting ASU (last Fall, 2025) I’ve had such an awful experience with my professors.

The lack of communication and interaction with students is insane. Uncaring, I’ve had to contact some of mine a few times during the beginning of this year due to some personal issues (regarding the death of someone very close to me and mental health) and all times I’ve basically been professionally told “sucks to suck”

One instance being I reached out to a professor explaining I was struggling retaining the material when it came to tests and I didn’t know what to do or where to go. I asked for advice or simply just some tips cause I can study for hours and it just doesn’t click….i was told in an email “I don’t know what to tell you, study more…”

It got bad enough I reached out to an academic advisor and I simply was told they can’t do anything about it because professors have free rein over their classes and how they do things.

And currently I’m working on Summer A semester and this time around I’m having no issues with the assignments it’s the course load! I only have 2-3 days to finish an assignment, mind you it’s algebra I get it assigned to me late Monday afternoon, I have to complete 30 topics by Wednesday. On top of an Exam, and 2 exam review practices being due the day after. I have no breathing room, and my professor reached out regarding my state of being and I told them I am incredibly burnt out, I work full time the course load is insane.

I received no reply.

Now before anyone says “oh you signed up for this you should’ve known” yes I’m aware, working full time while doing college is a lot. But the incidents I’ve had do not border on that…I’ve made sure to keep myself just under enough credits to be considered doing part time for college…

I rarely have issues with the assignments or work.

My issues are the absolute lack of professionalism within ASU by their professors. Yes they’ve seen a lot and it’s not the first time they’ve dealt with certain things I get that. They deal with a bunch of bs every single day simply to get paid…

That doesn’t mean they have to shit on the students experience is all I’m saying….

Anyways that’s my rant. I’m not looking for someone to argue with I simply wanted to get that off my chest. As a first time college student, this has been a shitty experience…

How are we feeling about soon getting weekly pay?

That’s to say if Starbucks hasn’t backtracked that info.

I’m needing a bit of convincing that it’ll be okay. I’m a creature of habit and I’ve always been paid biweekly so this is completely new to me and I know I’m going to hate it for a bit cause I’m used to seeing two weeks worth of money built up. So I know seeing that first weekly check roll in is gonna hurt my soul

Is there a policy in Starbucks somewhere that says Shift Supervisors cannot be friends with baristas/anyone they are supervising?

Or is it just heavily frowned upon?

I received a talking to about it today and that I’m no longer allowed to discuss my plans of what I do outside of work, at work. ( Edit: I’m a homebody all I do is ASU school, chill at home with my cat and maybe on the occasion go out of town)

Next summer (2027) I’ll be going out of state for college for roughly 2 weeks. My originally intentions were to leave my cat at home and just have a few ppl come by and check on him every now and then and take care of him.

But the more I think on it the more I want to take him with me. So I’m just seeking advice from those who have taken long travels with their cat and how you go about it.

I’ll be driving 13 hours straight to my destination so we will be in the car mostly. I want to make him as comfortable as possible if I am to take him with me. He is registered as an emotional support animal for me due to my anxiety so I feel him coming along puts me at some peace.

I also have intentions of harness training him to make this easier for myself.
