MX-30 with kids

Any have the MX-30 and need to load kids into the back? How easy or hard is it? Looks like a good approved used car to buy as it’s very reasonably priced and the warranty is great but the back seats seem impractical with how the back doors need to open.

Have you had a parking sensor replaced under warranty?

I have a message pop up constantly to clean sensors. I was in for a service recently and noted it to them. They checked it and said there is a small stone chip which has damaged the sensor. He said it’s very common on any car brand that has those sensors and isn’t something covered under warranty as it’s not a fault per se.

Has anyone had this repaired under warranty? I kind of felt, if the sensor is that flimsy on a 2 year old car that a small stone would damage it, it should be covered under warranty, but perhaps not.

Would you buy a 3 year old Born without a Warranty?

I have a Born on PCP which expires next year when the car will be 3 years old and out of warranty. There will be no equity left in the car so I will either be handing back the keys and starting again, or buying it outright with no warranty.

Wondering if someone with a Born out of warranty could speak to their long term reliability. I think I’d like to keep it, but also worried if something were to go wrong, it could cost a significant amount to repair.

For context, I bought a used ID3 previously, had it for 6 months (4 months out of the 3 year VW warranty) and all of the sensors failed, no speedometer, nothing. They gave me a replacement vehicle but after they were unable to repair over several weeks, I told them I wanted out and they gave me a lot of what I had paid towards another car. All that to say, I’ve been burned by a used EV before, but I’d be fairly hopeful that was something very unusual.

First time questions

I’ve never had a colonoscopy before and I’d love some advice on what to expect.

I was sedated for an endoscopy recently and woke early and started to panic. I thought that you had to be sedated for the colonoscopy but note that it’s optional. What are your experiences of being sedated versus not being sedated. My fear being that I come out early of the sedation and panic (has happened twice now with other procedures).

What can I expect with taking Moviprep? 10am appointment. Will I be up all night with it? I’ve read people talking about changes of clothes for the ride there which has freaked me out a bit.

Thanks in advance!

Mini Cooper SE as a family car

Looking to move to a smaller EV and considering the Mini Cooper SE. My only concern is getting the kids into the back seats. How easy or hard is this. Both are in high back boosters now, so forward facing, but do need to be strapped in by me. Would love to hear some feedback on this car as a family car.

Second hand EV or new ID Polo

PCP is ending early next year and it’s in negative equity, so I’ll be handing back keys. Going to buy my next EV outright and trying to decide between buying a second hand EV or buying a new ID Polo.

My thinking is a new ID Polo will have 3 years manufacturer warranty and 8 years battery warranty versus a one year manufacturer warranty with an approved used and 5 years remaining battery warranty. Whatever I’d get, I’d like to hold onto for the foreseeable and it sounds like the ID Polo will tick all the boxes.

Do your kids argue non stop?

We have two kids 4 & 6, and they just argue non stop at the moment. It feels constant. Would love to hear other parents experience… is this a phase, or if this our life now? 😅

Inheritance tax question

When is inheritance tax due on a property to be sold and the assets distributed among several family members? I would have assumed once the property was sold, but it appears that’s not the case? Do you have to pay the full value of the inheritance tax at one time? Realising as I write this, I’ll probably need to get tax advice but curious if anyone has been through this before and knows? TIA

Long term reliability

Currently have a 2024 Born on PCP and I’m trying to decide whether I should buy it out at the end of the contract or not.

I’m conscious it will be out of warranty at that stage, so I’m wondering if anyone has had this car from launch and how they’ve gotten on with it out of warranty.

I got burned with an ID3 that I bought just out of warranty, so that’s where my concerns are coming from.

Do you stay on Mounjaro long term?

Thinking of starting Mounjaro due to family heart health history and wondering if once you start you stay on it?

Any advice you can give would be appreciated, this is totally new to me.
