Imperial or Stormcloak?
The age old question.
I feel like the stormcloaks are stupendously racist, particularly to dark elves, but I agree with their general stance.

He may have been a respectful and kind person, (though even that is debatable) but he spread idiocy, foolish ideas, and gained an amass of wealth by doing so. Obviously, I don’t advocate for murder. He shouldn’t have been murdered.
Im only saying, if he had just died in his sleep or something, it still would have been a good thing.
Her ‘objectivism’ is rather flawed, especially in regards to her belief in absolute free market capitalism.
Seems like a stupid question, I know. But I’m about to go into college and just bought a MacBook Air m5 with 24 GBs of ram (before the massive price hike) and I’m considering either going into IT or CS, would a MacBook be a decent laptop for a career in IT and IT courses, or should I return it?
I am below 18 and recently acquired a MacBook Air for general use, study, and work. It’s blazing fast and a very good computer, but I feel almost guilty for buying it because I’m scared that it threatens my digital privacy. Should I return it for a framework laptop?
The common sense answer may just be “yes, return it, you idiot!” But it’s not that simple. I’m already rather stressed, and if I ask my parents to return it after I hyped it up a lot, it will complicate things. I already have enough on my plate, so is returning it really worth it?
The configuration I purchased was worth 1,700 USD at the time of purchase. I got it for 1,500 with a discount. But now with the Apple price hikes, it’s worth 1,999.
Also, if this is the wrong sub, please let me know! I’ve been really overthinking and stressing out about this. Thanks guys!
I don’t literally hate Reddit, it’s probably my favourite social media website, but in like 90% of subreddits moderators and people are some of the biggest snobs on planet earth. They’ll delete your post if you spell a word wrong. It’s literally so annoying. Any opinion they don’t agree with will cause you to be banned, and instead of ACTUALLY helping you out, they’ll just start a 33 line thread of the worst inside joke you’ve ever heard in your life.
For instance, on, another subreddit which shall not be named, you’d think
You could ACTUALLY post unpopular opinions there, but if you actually post something that’s legitimately unpopular, niche, and controversial, they’ll ban you. If it’s anything other than pet peeves, they’ll remove your post.

We all feel like shit, right?
I think that even if we all feel like shit, we can still talk and share our feelings here. Idk, it’s just comforting to me. You guys make me feel a bit better. At least we aren’t totally alone
I mean hotlines as in adolescent mental health hotlines, preferably text based. I do not want my parents to know, as I have lied to them about basically everything for years and I cannot reveal my actual identity to them, but I still need to speak to someone haha
In around a year I will be starting college and majoring in CS (online+irl classes). My current Optiplex is quite slow and has an old cpu, so I’m looking for a new computer for college, and as a gift to myself for completing high school lol
I’m considering three options:
-MacBook
-Gigabyte Aero X16
-Asus Zephyrus G14
I really want to get a MacBook, but I don’t know if it would be good for my major. I would likely either get a MacBook Air M5 15” with 24 GBs of ram, or a MacBook Pro M5 Pro.
Are either of these okay for computer science, which one would be the best choice for a student? Thanks!
I want to upgrade my optiplex 5050 SFF to the max it can be upgraded but I’m unsure what the most powerful CPU I can put in it is, or what the most powerful gpu I can put in it is. Its current specs are a core i5 6500, 32 gb of ram, and 1 tb of storage.
I am trying to get into programming, possibly local ai and homelabbing, so I want this computer to be as powerful as possible. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!

Battery life, performance, size, weight
Info/Requirements
Minimum of 16 gb of ram, 512 gb of storage.
My current main choices are either a MacBook Air M5 or a Lenovo Thinkpad L14 (possibly p14s if on sale)
Dedicated gpu is not needed, and integrated graphics are preferred, provided of course that they are well performing integrated graphics capable of light gaming.
As of now, on my current computer, I mainly play light video games, do web based school, study, watch TV and YouTube, but I intend to do more.
I’m trying to learn software development and experimenting with various ideas and ambitions, and I want a machine that can keep up with the future and last at least 5 years.
I value the power and battery life over the looks, aesthetic and feel of the computer, but I also love MacBooks premium feel, contradictorily.
But generally I am fine if the machine’s build quality isn’t that great, such as if the screen is wobbly or if the plastic is mushy.
I tend to have at least two programs open at once, as well as two or more tabs open. For instance, I may have Netflix open, Amazon open, Wikipedia and my online classes portal open at once, all in the browser, as well as having Spotify, calculator, and Minecraft open in the background.
Generally, efficiency>power>aesthetics
I should also mention that with one of the machines would be a huge upgrade over my current one.
I’m currently using a Dell Optiplex 5050 SFF with an intel core i5 6500 and 32 gb of DDR4 ram
I specifically mean the Thinkpad L14 by the way.
On one hand, I feel so drawn to Apple and the MacBook, as they seem so premium and aesthetic. I also love how they function seamlessly with other Apple products, and of course, Apple silicon is fantastic.
However I also feel drawn towards thinkpads. They are upgradable, durable, and also slightly cheaper. The CPU isn’t as fast as apple silicon however.
To be honest, I feel like having a Thinkpad is more “cool” due to it still being niche outside of the tech community, also I love the Linux support, as cringe as that all sounds.
But I don’t know if I’ll like MacOS. I’ve used windows my whole life and I love the task manager, the desktop shortcuts, everything. I don’t know if I’ll like MacBooks until I use one, and I can’t use one unless if I buy one, and I can’t stop worrying about which to purchase unless I know which one I’ll like more. It’s cyclical
So, in your opinion, which one is worth it over the other?
Thanks!
