TJO Process

I had a interview for healthcare position in VA. Went well. A week later they asked me for references and they were sent in within a week. When they asked me for references, they told me they will then send them to HR so they can get started on my job offer. Great sign.

Radio silence for about two weeks (they said they want the position filled within 90 days but federal government is federal government). I send them a follow up email. The next day they asked me to call them and they said they need a list of every certification, speaking engagement, continuing education, award etc and they need it asap. They said it could even be informal in an email listed. I did create a pdf and send it within an hour. That was 3 days ago.

Does anyone know what that list means?

Best daily shoes for ankle/ foot pain

My wife has a history of talonavicular arthritis, posterior tibial tendon degeneration. Also history of talar head stress reaction (healed). She had club foot correction surgery as an infant.

She purchased Bondi 9 a couple months ago but is realizing they are hurting her. She will have anterior ankle pain more often than not. She is a nanny so walking, lifting, pivoting daily. Sometimes she will have pain at the navicular site- almost like a bruise type feeling. It’s at the medial mid foot- I’m assuming posterior tibial tendon pain.

I’m assuming the softness of the Bondi 9 is causing too much compression and translation at the ankle joint causing the ankle pain. Anyone have any recommendations or thoughts on daily shoes?

TJO VA Timeline

Timeline:

Applied VA Healthcare position end of February, Closed end of March.

April 13 I was contacted for interview. In email notified they want position filled and started in 90 days.

April 16 I had interview.

April 24 I was contacted for references.

April 29 All references had been received by VA. I was given a verbal from business manager of department that once they received references, they would send them over to HR to get the offer out to me.

Nothing since. I did send a follow up email yesterday, haven’t heard back yet.

I know VA can be SLOW. The 90 days though is what’s surprising.. it seems rather ambitious. Also from what I’ve heard the real wait begins between TJO and FJO.

Wondering anyone’s experience in timeline between references being sent in and receiving a verbal offer to receiving a TJO.

Shoe recommendation with history of talar head fracture

History of club foot correction surgery as baby. Now 35 y/o female. Talar head stress fracture along with bone marrow edema and moderate talonavicular arthritis with posterior tibial tendon degeneration. No trauma. Diagnosed about 8 months ago. Finally getting back to the routine. Hoka Bondi 9 are a game changer but cause pain when lifting weights. Anyone have similar injury or history and have a recommendation on a dedicated lifting/ weight training shoe?

Possibly moving to the area for a job offer in Cumberland County. Moving from central Florida. Mid 30’s lesbian married. I understand the area is not “blue” but looking for advice on accepting town or borough to look at. Any advice is welcome.
