Summer hygge?

Summer is by far my least favorite season and I really want to find a way to enjoy it more. I feel like I’m constantly overheated and sunburned, everything is so loud etc.

I moved to Chicago where summer is a big deal and when there wasn’t a heat wave I was enjoying things a bit more but I still feel like it’s the one season I don’t celebrate if that makes sense. How do I celebrate summer as a homebody, how do I make summer feel cozy? Maybe I’ll never completely enjoy it, but how do I not think about fall the entire time lol

EDIT: I have gotten a lot of wonderful replies, I do want to clarify that I live in an apartment in a large city. While I have access to a lakefront park, any nature centric options are travel dependent

How do you decorate for the seasons?

I enjoy switching up my decor a bit seasonally but I’m running into the problem of storage. How do you decorate seasonally while being mindful of the limitations of storage in an apartment? Do you keep it small? Have items that store well somehow? I feel like I must be missing key information to make this easier

Where do you get your matching sets?

I tend to prefer a monochrome look and wear a lot of dresses and jumpsuits. Unfortunately they don’t feel very versatile so I’m looking to try out some matching sets that fit SD requirements.

If it matters I have winter coloring and lean towards moon, mountain, fire style roots. But really I’m just looking for more shopping options. OGL move keeps turning up and as much as I like the cuts they have I can’t stand their fabric

Some clothes are shrinking

I wash my clothes in warm water with tide ultra oxy powder and then citric acid in the rinse. I dry on cool. My husband keeps having some of his sweat shirts and tshirts shrink short and I don’t know how to stop it
