Und wenn ich in einem Autozug bin, müssen alle Insassen das Auto verlassen und Zugtickets kaufen?? Die wiederum Fantasiepreise haben???

Ausgenommen anscheinend die Tickets für den Eurotunnel, den habe ich mir nämlich gerade angeguckt, wo man einfach im Auto verbleibt. Wieso kann man das nicht so lösen? Ich fahre nen Neunsitzer und wir sind 8 Leute.

Bäm. Zeitgleich mit dem Schrieb, in denen sie mich auffordern, mehr Dokumente nachzuweisen, lag im Briefkasten auch ein Schrieb von einer immerhin seriös aussehenden Inkassofirma, der mich darüber informierte, dass sie jetzt für die GIS eintreiben und schon Mal 60€ drauf geschlagen haben.

I tried it on both NanoGPT and OpenRouter.

It's very prone to outputting outright gibberish - but also, often, produces output that *looks* sensible but in fact is just incoherent babbling. Starts omitting words, cuts itself Off mid-sentence and basically sounds psychotic.

Every now and then I get one proper response of the caliber it produced when it still was Ox.

There are stretches of time where it functions well enough, but thinking is reduced to one short paragraph.

What is going on? It worked so well as Ox. The infrastructure, apparently, is *there*, and now it just burns through all the goodwill it has acquired as Ox.

I'm currently taking my family on a trip through Spain, and we wanted to see the Corrida de Toros.

I wanted to ask whether there are special tickets for children/groups? We are two adults and 6 children, of which one is a 6mo baby and the others are between 6-13.

So. We have 6 children. One is a baby, which many providers are willing to not count at all - but that doesn't solve the issue of the 5 others, who are 13-6.

There would be the possibility to split up with my husband and take two 4-bed rooms. Often, that is immensely expensive. And if I decide to go on a trip alone with my kids, it becomes outright impossible.

The thing is, my children would definitely cozy up together in a bed, but somehow, especially in the age of online check in, I still have to account for each guest, and as soon as you exceed 4 people, many websites go like "nope, nothing available, sorry".

At this point I would literally rent a room with nothing in it and we bring our air mattresses.

Is the only hope to approach camping places and whip out our big tent to huddle in? (Then, most often, we pay tent price AND per person price, which gets pretty expensive for literally sleeping in a tent, but at least it's possible at all).

I have the suspicion that more would be possible if I had the opportunity to talk to the hosts beforehand, but traversing language barriers, I don't feel confident just calling, and with six kids the risk of "I'll find something when I'm there" is a tad too big.

Man, it's worth it, much to discover if you already know where it's going.

I now understand why they're considered Classics. I read {{The Grand Sophy}} and it just was so well executed from start to finish.

I actually struggled a bit - English is not my first language, but I'm usually good enough at it to tear through entire books and deliberately read my HR in English, but here with the passive voice and the compact description of scenes, I was actually challenged. It also felt like a way bigger book because of it. :D

Also - the lack of spice!! I have been scouting book after book for what I could give my book-devouring 12yo daughter, because I'm just sure she would enjoy the scenery and the dynamics - and now , in this classic, I find a suitable one??!

Found a German edition of it for her and it was all 60s/70s cringe cover that I would never have touched in my life, but peeked inside and the translation was really good.

Heh, and for me, I already have the next one {{Frederica by Georgette Heyer}} lined up, sadly my library only had those two as paperbacks - but I have already found the whole collection online :))))

The thing is - and I don't even know whether I should be sad about it - is that , still, they take effort to read (even if they are entertaining and pleasant and not per se heavy literature), so I guess I can't tear through them like I usually do with my HRs, so THAT means I have enough material for *ages* -

And also,science they're apparently rather standalone, I don't feel pressured to read them all in a row, and will absolutely self-indulgently strew easier ones in-between 😏

Did I do something wrong? I imported a big list of Jai characters. But they came without their alternate initial messages.

Is there some sort of script that retroactively fetches them? Or shall I build one?

I currently have a character that intercepts user at a remote gas station, slashes their tire, and then, under the guise of helping, pulls over his own truck where the security cameras don't work, with the apparent intention to kidnap user.

However. They just don't do that. I've tried DS V4, Kimi 2.7 code and GLM 5.2 (yeah okay, that one has positivity bias anywhere) and with all of them, he just fixes the tire, starts talking about uni, and how they should exchange numbers/do something together.

I am aware of presets , that I can just switch on the "nightmare mode"... Is this supposed to go with such bots? I somehow thought they turn normal bots nightmare-ish. Is there any decent model that will just progress the story logically by itself?

So the subscription gives you 60M Tokens a month, right? All beyond that is pay as you go.

So I have my usual Models on Openrouter. I can, just, map their token/cost against price and see whether Nano is worth it?

Apparently, in the past 30 days, I used 7M Tokens on DS4, which counts double, so 14M. 8M on Kimi 2.7 code, which also counts double in the subscription, so 16M, 3M on GLM 5.2, which is ALSO doubled to 6M, And a bunch of lesser ones that sum up at around 5M which I will not double for simplicity's sake, Which puts me at just over 40M of the hypothetical 60M token subscription. And for that I'd pay 12$?

In this timeframe, for the Kimi 2.7 Tokens alone, I paid 6$. (2 Dollars more for Fable which I am just not going to count.) 2$ for the GLM's, 2$ for GPT, 1,20$ for DS and some scraps for others, which means that I'm pretty much at the 12$ per month already.

And I could have used even more tokens on Nano?

This seems to be some sort of no brainer, especially since Nano promises to sell the PAYG tokens without markup? (And why does it markup BYOK so much?)

How do they afford this? Do the subscription status of different models fluctuate?

It would be wise to only use the "free" 60M Tokens for the most expensive models, no? Why would anyone go ahead and choose the cheapo Hy3 with the free tokens?

Is there anything else I'm failing to consider?

Terra is the first model I've used - even including Sol - that takes "always use she/her pronouns" for my character so literally that it even puts "she" in dialogue directed at the user.

This series had me in a stranglehold for the last few months. And now it's over. 😭

I was a bit taken aback at first because it was so serious at times - I actually don't really care for murder, crime and conspiracies that much in my HR books - but I found I got used to them and even the darker themes in the last trilogy didn't keep me from devouring them. (I think the garden trilogy was weakest, tbh. Not counting the Captain.)

Guess I'll throw out some thoughts on the MMCs, seems to be custom in this sub :D, and rank them while I'm at it. Does it make sense at all to lump the novella MMCs in there? They don't have as much opportunity to build character, but I think ALL OF THEM are absolute sweetie cookies.

1.: Raphael. For some reason it felt like reading >!The Duke and I - JQ!<all over again - I mean there *is* resemblance, right? But it just has so much (and heavier) backstory and you can't help admiring him along the entire way.

2.: Val. Screaming, crying, kicking my feet. His appearances were what made the garden trilogy bearable. And that entire book was like one huge snack. How she managed to do this with the backstory going in, I have no idea, but I bow my head in awe.

3. Wakefield, shame on me I have forgotten his name, but probably because he is such a presence in the earlier books and then he just goes ahead and basically 180s on everything while still being magnificent, I -

4. Captain James 😭 ok I think the uniform and the fact that he's a dragoon help immensely. But. How nice their conclusion is. It's so heartwarming. I wished for the best, and it became the best, and I am so happy for them. Horsies.

5. Griffin - It has been quite a while since I read the first three so I can't quite remember what it was that drew me in so much about him - especially since it had the whole pirate backstory going on 🤔, but the man himself. Chefs kiss.

6. Mickey - another one where I spent the whole book anxious about how it is possibly going to resolve nicely, and then it resolved *so* nicely I almost couldn't believe it - he deserved everything good coming to him (although he was somehow an ass at the very beginning).

7. Lazarus - What a *way* to start a series like that - and I loved that he had reappearances after all, still staying true to character - would have loved to read more of him, in fact.

8. Apollo - He was intriguing and I longed for his story to be resolved well, but the book was amongst the meh-est of them all.

9. Kyle - Solid, interesting character who I, for a change, didn't mind to follow into his crime solving adventures, but he felt a bit pulled out of a hat as a whole.

10. Winter - after the books before him, I was so happy that he got a story and a reasonably happy ending, but it was somewhat forgettable.

11. Asa - generally meh. Eve carried the whole book imho

12. Godric - the man himself is alright, I guess, but the book was terminally boring.

As for the FMCs, I'm just going to go ahead and name my faves- Bridget, Artemis, Phoebe, Hero.

The next question, I think, is- what am I going to read now? Sadly, my E Book reader broke in the middle of #12 😭, and it will take a few weeks until it's returned - maybe I'll go ahead and read actual paperbacks in the meantime. Maybe go back and read some comforting favourites to loosen up a bit - it did become quite heavy in the end. But of course I want to continue my HR journey and there are quite a few authors waiting for me that I haven't yet read - any recommendations for a series that might be clever and witty but more fun and light?

But, truth to be told, my head is still captured by Maiden Lane. I think I shall draw up a family tree - a whole one, this will take enough time to arrange

I had been struggling with {{Darling Beast by Elizabeth Hoyt}} so much that I planned to abandon the whole series for a while, but then I pushed through to the book with the Captain {{Dearest Rogue by Elizabeth Hoyt}} 😍, devoured it, immediately progressed to {{Sweetest Scoundrel by Elizabeth Hoyt}} which hit *just right* so I tore through it in a breeze- thinking "okay it was a last one in those Maiden lane set of threes" and I might have a natural break-

But no. Ran right into the cliffhanger. And of course that book and {{Duke of Sin by Elizabeth Hoyt}} are actually a single story and I inhaled it in under two days and OH MY GOD now I get why everyone here is raving so much about said Duke of Sin 😭, I have been in some sort of reading slump for a while with Darling Beast but this one is like pure crack and I am SO SAD it's over - the way it circled back to book one, I just CAN'T -

That being said, no matter how the last two books are, I think I'm going to smash through them now, too. Series: redeemed. Hoyt: adored.

Gleichzeitig hab ich auch schnell festgestellt, dass Rapsöl auf Salat nichts taugt.

Aber erst zuletzt hab ich angefangen, bei Gebäcken, die mir nicht schmecken, auf die Zutatenliste zu sehen. Siehe da, Rapsöl ist überall enthalten, und mittlerweile kann ich es auch blind rausschmecken.

Ich finde es hat penetranten Eigengeschmack.

Someone made a list of old models that somehow produced more creative, vivid writing than the current code-optimized ones.

Would you mind listing them?

(I'm still somehow engaged with my endeavor to spreadsheet them with a proper set of benchmarks, this time not AI evaluated - with current price on OR or something. How would I even go about it? Yesterday I had a lot of fun using Nemotron until it spiraled and then switching to Kimi 2.6.)

So, I know how one would usually set the system prompt to combat pitfalls each model has, or maybe steer the RP into a specific stylistic setting, medieval or whatever.

I think my roleplays suffer because I don't bother writing out long responses - this, because I'm tired of the LLM gathering the entire message and reacting to everything, and I also don't use flowery descriptions and thoughts because of mind-reading - I usually just write a minimalistic action and dialogue, what the AI needs to continue the scene. But yeah.

I seem to remember, I once had a character that didn't even expect proper RP style answer - it just provided "choose your own adventure" style buttons at the bottom of each of it's messages - you would choose the emoji for the option you liked, and maybe provide a bit of dialogue extra. This was quite fun for a while.

Do you know of any presets that steer the RP Chat experience in such a way?

Or heck, even ideas, I'll go ahead and write them myself to share with the group :)

I have hooked it up to my Openrouter, I even can rotate models now. I have the presets on default and it produces expectable outcome for the character cards I have, given the chosen model.

So... Do Presets actually modify the RP prompt directions?

Do they tug at the setting sliders? Because I think that would be unreliable, to have a preset that relies on the values , across several models?

Do they just input something that encourages the LLMs to produce better RP output?

Is there something like Lorebary where you can plugin certain commands on the go?
