Need Help with Heat Gradient

Hi everyone, I have a 4x2x2 PVC tank for my boy and I am struggling so much with the heat gradient for this tank. The RHP is all the way on the warm side, my UVB light covers half ( I know this is not the issue as I have issues at night) there are a lot of ventilation holes in the tank so I don’t know if that is contributing. I placed the probe directly under the heating panel few inches. I do want to correct this as soon as possible as my snake has health issues and I want everything to be good for him. Herpstat is set to 91, actual temp is 87, cold side 81.5. Any help would be appreciated - thank you!

New Cat Introduction Help

Hi everyone, I recently adopted a new cat about 5 weeks ago who is a 1 year old neutered male. I already have a 3 year old boy who is neutered as well. We did the Jackson galaxy introduction method and got up to short supervised sessions before everything turned around for the worst. The new cat has an issue with jumping on and growling/biting/ ripping out hair from the resident cat. He has also started urinating on things inside of his base camp. It has been five weeks and I feel so disconnected from him. He just keeps attacking my cat and peeing on everything and I am so frustrated. He has a feliway diffuser and I am trying to do everything right but I don’t know what to do. Please help.

Cat Introduction Help

Hi everyone, I recently adopted a cat about 3 weeks ago (11 month male). I currently have a 2 year old male. I have used the Jackson galaxy method and slowly introduced them and all has been well except there has been a few incident where the new kitty will bite the resident’s cat neck and pull out quite a bit of hair. Since the beginning there has been no hissing, no fighting, just a few incidents where the new kitty gets very defensive and growls. The most recent encounter the kitties were hanging out in the same room supervised for about an hour. They were doing really good up until an hour where the resident cat pounced on the new cat and new cat was growling and pulling out a LOT of hair from the resident cat. This and one other time has happened and I am not sure where to go from here. Should I try shorter hang out times? Should I restart the introduction process? Any advice would be deeply appreciated. Thank you!

Hi everyone, I have had my boy for about 4 years now. He has multiple kinks in his spine that have seem to gotten worse as he has gotten older. When he was a baby he did have these dents in his spine but I noticed as he got older they did protrude more. Looking at it now I’m worried that he is in pain or will not live a good life. He eats perfectly fine, poops fine, sheds fine, seems fine overall. What are your guys’s thoughts?

Hi all, I recently adopted a new kitty about two weeks ago. He is 11 months old and resident kitty is 3 years old. So far there has not been any hissing, poofing anything like that. We are at the barrier/ supervised play. The cats play perfectly fine with no starting when playing a few feet from each other both with the screen door and without but I am struggling to get the new kitty to eat when it comes to feeding time. The kitty used to be free fed at the shelter and I recently got him on a feeding schedule but he is not very food motivated and will try to break down the screen door instead of eating. Same with when I try giving him a treat out in the living room, he will just walk away and explore. My resident cat has no problem eating and will even have the new cat walk right on top of him while he’s eating and nothing happens. I am just kinda stuck on what to do since the new kitty has no interest in eating and I know that’s an important step in introductions. I also noticed when the new kitty is out my resident cat has a problem with staring and following him around. He will “stalk” him and then run up to him and make a little chirp but that is it so I would appreciate any help with that too. (We do supervised hang outs after play time) Thank you!!
