Looking for some advice/guidance.
Have a ‘23 BYD seal owned for about 2.5 years now, done 27k km. My novated lease is up in September so I need to decide if I want to continue for another year (planning for baby #2 so surely need a bigger car after a year) or sell now and buy a new car (likely Zeekr 7x).
Difference in fortnightly pay is about $200 (3 year lease on 7x vs one year on Seal) which is manageable.
Amount due if I don’t renew is ~$33k and hoping I can sell for $38-40k within a month to cough up the balloon payment.
Is one option better than the other financially or is it just down to personal choice?

I’m coming up to a year of having the HSBC star alliance credit card. I’ve hit the gold renewal threshold and received confirmation from star alliance about the renewal of my status.
Does anyone know if I cancel the card before end of the year will I lose my status as well? Or does it stay until next year?

I’ve tried Frollo and excel. None of them feel quite right for what I actually want, which is basically:
• A clear view of what I owe across all my cards right now
• Visibility into what points/rewards I’m earning and where I’m leaving value on the table
• A heads up before an annual fee hits or a benefit expires
Frollo is useful but it’s a full budgeting tools. I just want card clarity, not a whole financial overhaul. The bank apps only show their own products. The spreadsheet requires me to actually update it (lol).
Is there something I’m missing? Or is everyone just making one of these work somehow?
