OCD talking to yourself

Im diagnosed with ocd but overthinking what i think to be my symptoms, often people have a set number of times they have to do their compulsion but mine involves talking to myself over and over and over until i reach exhaustion from the obsession or end up distracted. i have rareIy ever set a limit of a certain number of times or check things, i dont know if this is a specific genre of ocd but the talking to myself has consumed my life and I can never sit or think in silence and it ranges from certain topics like right now im obsessed with my morality and stresssseddd about it. Does anyone else have this??

AngloSaxons in England

Im american and was looking into my ancestry, my family comes from southern england and i was doing some research about it and ive noticed conflict of whether they are celtic or anglo saxon, from my knowledge the anglo saxons are germanic and I was wondering why my dna results wouldnt say germany if thats where the anglo saxons are originally from? (im confused i hope that doesnt come across as dumb) does the dna test not go THAT far back? Im also interested in learning about the culture and my family has told me my ancestors came to america in late 1800s from Gloucestershire. I find both celtic and anglo saxon cultures and beliefs both fascinating and i come from a place of curiousity, anyone have answers?

Paganism

Looking into my ancestry and discovered I have more english ancestry than I thought, I was considering getting into celtic paganism specifically irish paganism as i have irish ancestors but now i feel guilty pursuing this because of my english heritage. Ive tried looking into the pre christian pagan practices of england before all their invasions but i cannot seem to find anything other than anglo saxon paganism or english folk magick, are there any good sources of what the english believed spirituality while they were culturally celtic at the time before being invaded? I dont want to assume it is exactly the same as englands neighboring countries
