Re-watching season 1…and I’d forgotten just how CREEPY Xavier acted towards Wednesday

- The following her

- The paintings of her… not just in his art shed but also the ones in his book that Wednesday found in episode 2 when she had literally just arrived at the school

- Staring her and Tyler down the entire time they were at the dance and then asking his (stunning) ex girlfriend to siren song him to get over a girl he’d barely spoken to

- Looking into Wednesday and Enid’s bedroom window in episode 6… I mean WTF??? What if one of them were undressed. What was he thinking? Why didn’t he knock on their door???

Which leads me to—

Was Xavier originally planned to be Wednesday’s endgame romance?

I’ve seen a lot of people say that he was before Percy got written off the show.

I go back and forth on it myself because while I can see why people would think that … genuinely, if he was, it would have to be the worst written basis for an endgame love interest for the main character I think I’ve ever seen.

So… wouldn’t that make Wednesday 19 in season 2? 😕

There’s this weird discourse going around that Tyler is apparently 19 because of Santiago’s line about Francoise being dead for 15 years (even though literally everything else — him having a curfew, saying he’s a part-time barista, arriving home from school, being friends with Lucas and the other pilgrim kids who are in school in season 1, rhe original script saying he’s 16, etc suggests he was in high school in season 1)

It seems to be used by people intentionally trying to suggest Tyler wasn’t a minor in season 1 as apparently if he was older that justifies Thornhill abusing him in some people’s eyes.

But if Galpin apparently died in 2025, whilst Wednesday turned 16 in 2022, wouldn’t that also make her 19 in season 2? 🤣🤣

Honestly, the shows timeline is so messed up and obviously means nothing.

Being a villain in SOME people’s eyes

I found this comment from Hunter Doohan’s new interview interesting.

He’s basically saying that while Tyler occupied the villain role in season 1, he himself sees the character as more nuanced.

Also strongly suggests that a Tyler redemption arc is probably inevitable…although personally I don’t think a classic “redemption arc” is necessarily fitting for Tyler’s circumstances.

Just going to leave these here 😉

“Hunter said Tyler was lying to Wednesday in season 1 which means he never had feelings for her”

Wtf?

Tyler lying to Wednesday in season 1 about who he was and the Hyde is literally canon. That is obviously what he was referring to and literally not new information lol

Literally the whole point of Wednesday’s plan to manipulate him in 2.05 was because she knew he had feelings for her.

🤦‍♀️

Edit: it’s funny that both Jenna and Hunter said “obviously” like it’s the most obvious thing ever but people still try to argue it

I’m obsessed that Hunter took Joy (and his mom) to the Evil Dead premiere 😍🥹

For all the drama on social media about there being supposed drama between members of the cast, these two are just living their best drama-free bestie lives
