Hey everyone, hoping you can help me diagnose a frustrating drivetrain issue.

I'm using a Raspberry Pi (GPIO 18 PWM) to control an ESC and brushless motor on this RC chassis. The chassis is lifted off the ground for testing.

Here is exactly what is happening:

The Motor Works: If I pull the motor off the spur gear, it spins up perfectly at 50% throttle.

The Finger Test: With the power off, if I try to push the big spur gear with my finger, it feels like it gets stuck on a "catch." If I push hard enough, it pops past that sticky spot and spins somewhat smoothly.

Any advice on how to possibly fix this is appreciated!
