Bronze DPS main trying to escape to silver
Hello, I am a bronze player. Whilst I do like to play all roles, I main DPS for ranked. I feel like I'm a better tank player but I do enjoy DPS. alot. For background, OW2 is essentially the first keyboard and mouse game and perhaps first FPS I've seriously played. I started off by playing essentially only tracer because I thought she was a cool character for a long time. However, after a short break I did have to admit that I wasn't that good on tracer and decided to instead play easier heroes like Soldier 76 and most recently, I've been playing a lot of Sojurn. I would like advice more on my Sojurn than my tracer so I've linked 2 VODs where I play Sojurn. I think one of my biggest difficulties is dealing with tanks. I know that a basis for Sojurn is to farm your railgun on the tank then shoot the supports/squishes but I feel like it doesn't do much unless I manage to actually kill them.
One trend I've noticed in a lot of my games are that it's either quite close (what I assume is normal) or it's massively one sided. Usually the games are massively one sided with essentially 10 games of one sided matches before any close ones. I've linked 2 games here. 1 of them are massively one sided to the enemy team and it feels like I can't get value at all which is what usually happens in my games. Usually the enemy tank is the problem. Perhaps this might be a sign I'm not ready for ranked in general? I have 102 hours played in OW2 which I think might be a lot but it is my first mouse and keyboard FPS game haha. The other is a semi close fight but still a loss. I feel like the semi close one is probably one of the best times I've played sojurn as I was more confident in my railguns.
I know a lot of advice for Bronze players is very basic in terms of you just have to aim better essentially. I just want to make sure that is my main issue and not something else.
I would like to say I do believe I am a bronze rank player. I just want to know how I can level myself into a silver player. I am currently Bronze 2 if that matters.
An issue I think I may have the most is positioning with Sojurn. I feel like my aiming is okay for a bronze when I'm in the game but it may be that my aim is actually terrible and is the issue. I'd just like to know what it is as someone who is a beginner to these type of games in general. Also perhaps I underutulise Sojurn's ultimate.
Here is an example of a one sided fight I usually face against: Z39N2H Eichenwalde
Here is the close fight: R13XA5 Runasapi
Username is Elintzz
Thank you for any advice you give. I hope it's fun seeing the POV and playing of an actual bronze too haha.
Gapryoung's plan is going to endanger Elite's father
Biggest merchant most likely means he also sells to Japan making him a known figure. Finding out his son is a betrayer and rebel will for sure lead devastating effects towards Elite's father and possibly his death.
(Also random thought but I also have the possibility that Elite lies about being rich aswell. It just fits his personality)
Gapryoung Kim is a very strange man
Had to repost because spoiler tag.
Gapryoung is strange
He's very cocky but it's backed up by his actions. He's immensely strong but its very strange. The dialogue shows a lot. We first get Jinyoung questioning where this man came from. A man this strong would not be unknown whether or not he has fought the Yamazaki yet as his strength himself should be something to be known about. Training to become this strong would require fighting yet this man is completely unknown. He comes from nowhere like an alien. He questions how the Yamazaki got this powerful to take over Korea like he was never there.
He acts very childish in terms of what he wants. He likes to fight, he wants children and loves women and he wants to save the world. Moreover, this recent chapter he decided to make it his purpose to save the world. As if he didn't have any purpose before that and was just simply walking around doing nothing. His wants are very basic.
His name Gapryoung Kim is mentioned multiple times as if he made the name himself. A very high noble name just for him. Referring to the Chinese Hanja and meaning of his name multiple times like an old person. His name is for sure made by him. He wants people to know acknowledge him via his new name as Gapryoung Kim, the head dragon.
It may be strange to say as Jinyoung is heavily known to be related to the 2nd bodies but Gapryoung acts like someone with a 2nd body or more of a 2nd life. A magical strength you've never had makes you want to fight and show it off. You get better looking so you try and find a woman for yourself as you believe you'll succeed from your looks and strength. A new high noble name just for you and your new chance at life. Daniel Park calling his 2nd body Daniel Park is only because he needed it for J High which has records for him as Daniel Park. If he didn't, he himself would've probably chosen a new name. And now with this powerful body, you believe you can actually save the world.
I'd like to believe however that Gapryoung was not an experiment but he himself was the miracle that the 2nd bodies are based off. I like to believe Gapryoung's body is more of a 2nd chance at life rather than having 2 separate bodies.
At the start of the chapter and at the end of last chapters with Gap's introduction, we get the idea of being born a man. This can be interpreted 2 ways.
- As a saying. (Likely Shingen's version)
2. Being literally born again as a man (Gap's version)
Moreover, we see Gap's angry face for the first time when Jinyoung questions his past. His past is something he wants hidden.
Whether he has more chances of coming back may be the present issue ongoing.
Gapryoung likely told Jinyoung about his new life and is what led to the experimentation of something familiar via the 2nd bodies. A 2nd body sounds riduculous to make unless theres already some kind of proof it exists out there. This also helps differentiate Gapryoung from the 2nd bodies. He's something related to them but not the same. He himself was the miracle whilst the others were experiments.
Whether Gapryoung is something related to the 2nd bodies or not may not be true but nonetheless, Gapryoung is a very strange man and seeing the pre gen arc from Jinyoung's perspective says a lot about Garpyoung. Gapryoung's POV is something very different from what we expect and we see it from a different POV for a reason. This arc is called Garpyoung Kim, not Generation 0/Pre Gen for a reason. I feel like despite the arc being called Gapryoung Kim, we will not see his thoughts at all. We will only see him from the POV of others such as the words he tells them etc. He is something much stranger that a simply strong man who decided to unite Korea into beating the Yamazaki. Whether we find out his background/past and see his POV this arc is another question but Gapryoung is for sure a very strange man.
