Does anyone know anything about a fiddle player named Hobert Bowling?

I found a tune called Nightingale played by him in the Field Recorders Collective Survey of Traditional Music British Tradition album and I would love to hear more. There's another tune on a Kentucky compilation which leads me to thinking that he's from the Kentucky tradition. I love his sound but I can't find anything other than the FRC recordings.

We had a brilliant time at the Games. Thank you Kyrgyzstan.

We just finished up 4 days at the games including the opening ceremony in Bishkek and thought I'd post about my postive experience. We are a couple from the UK and it's our first time in Central Asia.

The My City app was brilliant, showed us that the shuttle buses started in Baetovka so we just got up early, Yandexed straight there and got seats on a mini bus to the bottom of the gorge. We then got on the second bus leaving from there. We had an amazing day in Kyrchyn, every volunteer we spoke to was really helpful and had great English, they knew about all of the delays and where we could find what we wanted to see. The horseback archery blew us away. Also shout out to the guys showing us the sheep's bone game and letting us paint one for free, they will be cherished souvenirs.

Down the bottom at the horse games everyone was so incredibly friendly. Had a few super happy Kyrgyz people explain to us the rules of Kok Boru and Er Enish by the power of Google translate and hand gestures. We ate some really amazing food too.

People at the wrestling centre were giving up their seats to me and my partner so we could get a good view and everyone seemed to be having a great time. We saw the final rounds of the belt wrestling and the atmosphere was incredible.

Overall we have felt so warmly welcomed, safe, and comfortable in Kyrgyzstan. No one tried to scam us or trick us with anything, none of the vendors hassled you at all after you turned them down. In general Kyrgyzstan has really put on an amazing show and should be proud of what they've achieved. Sure, the roads aren't finished, and the sign posting wasn't amazing, but it didn't take much to find out the information we needed.

Heinz have backed European food influencers during the world cup to coincide with the launch of ranch sauce in the UK

I noticed that loads of influencers have been drooling about ranch dip with pizza and "coincidentally" there are suddenly stacks of ranch in every supermarket.

With this extreme heatwave coming up, is there anything we can do to help the birds that may be struggling out there?
