My gf(20f) has been subtly hinting that she wants me (19m) to say that I love her more than my family.

My gf and I have been dating for a year and four months, and we are currently long distance. Recently she has been sending messages a lot about how a boyfriend should love their girlfriend more than their family.

I think this has become a bigger topic in my mind because I am flying to see her after the fourth of July(for two weeks), which I am spending with my family. She insisted that I see her for the fourth , which I really would have loved to, but I hardly see my family, A because I am in college(home for the summer), and B when I am home they are quite literally always working and I am too. This fourth of July is one of the few times we will all be together(on a two day trip)although we live together and I am back for the summer.

Now the reason why I am conflicted and posting here is because I say another perspective, saying “Imagine watching your father choose your grandma repeatedly over your own mother,” but then thing is, I would assume by that point you are married and whatnot.

I flew out to see her during valentines, and when thanksgiving/christmas came around, our families both lived in the same so when I came home we spent those holidays together as well. I’m working this summer to also do my best to be able to afford to fly and see her more. Admittedly she has flown out to see me more, but her family pays for her flights, mine don’t sadly.

Other than this, my gf and I are absolutely infatuated with each other and long distance is hard cause we miss each other, but we don’t have any problems? When either of us bring up something we handle it maturely, and it is clear that an effort is being made to remedy any situation mutually.

Please give me any advice and or education. I love this girl with all my heart, so if I’m wrong let me know.

TL;DR: Rls of one and a half years and my gf wants me to say I love her more than my family. Other than that we never have any problems and we are always happy together.
