I built a habit tracker from scratch because every good one was either $10/month or too basic. Here's what I made.

Most habit apps are either a simple checklist OR an overpriced subscription. I wanted something that actually helps you build habits so I built HabitFlow.

The thing most trackers get wrong: one habit type doesn't fit everything. Reading = checkmark. Gym = timer. Water = count. Quitting social media = days since. I built all four.

4 Habit Types:

Check — daily yes/no, streaks and heatmaps

Count — hit numeric targets like glasses of water or pages read

Timer — focused sessions with time logs

Quit — days since last time, smoking, junk food, etc.

🛡️ Streak Shield — this one is my favorite. Miss a day? Instead of losing your 47-day streak, a Shield absorbs it. You earn shields by completing 7 consecutive days. No more rage-quitting the app after one bad day.

📊 Stats that actually mean something — heatmaps, weekly charts, completion rates, best streaks, trends over time

🎯 Goals and Tasks — group related habits under goals, manage to-dos alongside habits

🔔 Smart reminders — per-habit notifications plus re-reminder if you haven't checked in by evening

🎉 Celebration animations — confetti and sound when you complete your day. Sounds silly but it genuinely feels good.

📱 Home screen widget — check off habits without even opening the app

🔒 Privacy first — all data stays on your phone. Cloud backup via your own Google Drive, you own it not us.

Free tier lets you try it with 2 habits. PRO unlocks unlimited habits, premium themes, detailed stats, and more.

Would love honest feedback from people who have tried and abandoned other habit apps. What made you quit?

I built a free video player for Android from scratch — no bloat, no subscription, no BS. Here's what it does.

I got tired of every decent video player either being paid, full of ads, or abandoned. So I spent months building my own.

**HD Player** — here's what it actually does:

🎬 **Plays everything** — local videos, audio, network streams, direct URLs

📺 **Built-in IPTV** — load M3U playlists, watch live channels

🖼️ **Picture-in-Picture** — keep watching while using other apps

🎵 **Equalizer** — tune audio exactly how you like it

🔤 **Subtitle support** — multiple audio tracks, switchable mid-playback

⚡ **Dual decoder** — ExoPlayer + VLC engine fallback for stubborn formats

📐 **Aspect ratio, speed control, video filters, gesture controls**

📂 **Built-in file browser + playlist manager**

🚫 **No ads on the main player** — completely clean experience

It handles the formats other players choke on. MKV with multiple subs? No problem. Weird IPTV stream? Got it.

Looking for honest feedback — what features do you wish your current video player had?
