WhatsApp Business restored after suspension but now locked behind SIM OTP I can’t access, Support isn't replying at all.
My WhatsApp Business account was temporarily suspended recently for no reason. I submitted a review and WhatsApp restored the account successfully after 10 hours.
The problem now is I cannot log back in because it only asks for SMS/phone OTP verification to the original SIM number, and that SIM is permanently gone and cannot be restored by the carrier.
However:
- The account already had my email linked before this happened (Link Email Feature enabled) and i used it multiple times before to log into my account.
- In the past i could see “verify with email” / “login with email” options whenever i login, now it's gone.
- I still fully control the linked email address
- Support emails have not replied so far
Has anyone here successfully regained access to a WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business account using only the linked email after losing the SIM?
Also:
- Did the email verification option ever reappear later for you?
- Did waiting some days after suspension reversal help?
- Any tricks with old devices / app versions / linked devices?
I’m trying to understand whether recovery is realistically possible or if WhatsApp permanently requires the SIM after a suspension event.
Any real experiences would help a lot. And please if whatsapp support is reading this i need your help ! it's a business and i feel lost now
