Anywhere within 13 hour flight?

Help!

Myself and my partner want to go somewhere in October. We only have 1 week - for this reason we’d like to keep the flight time 13 hours or less from Edinburgh airport.

We are open to almost anywhere that is:

- Warm to sunbathe (say 22 degrees minimum during the day) and we could get a hotel or apartment with a pool
- has some nightlife
- there is both things to do during the day as well as chilling
-nowhere overly expensive (such as Miami)

We are open to a city such as Dallas or Austin. Would do Nashville but heard it’s pretty overcrowded and gone downhill.
We thought of Sri Lanka even but struggling to get the nightlife vibe.
We could also hire a car and drive about.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Santa Ponsa v Palma Nova

I’m getting married just outside Palma next year (Son Mir) and really struggling for somewhere to suggest our guests stay. We’re looking to do a welcome drinks the night before so need to all be close by.

I have only been to Cala D’or and Puerto Pollensa so appreciate we may not get as nice areas as this close to Palma. We want our guests to have a hotel with a good pool to centre of Palma probably isn’t the best idea and some guests will stay up to 5-6 days.

Would you recommend Santa Ponsa over Palma Nova for class and nice beaches or not much different from one another?

Any experience of these Provence wedding venues?

I’m dreaming of getting married in the south of France and wondering if anyone has had any experience of the following venues? It’s important that we have accommodation nearby for guests

Bastide des Barattes
Bastide Du Roy
L'Auberge de TAO

Thanks in advance

Would I be making a mistake of Majorca in October?

I’ve found my dream venue in Majorca and it’s available 9th October which fits really well with the Scottish school holidays.

However, I always dreamed of going a September wedding here for slightly cooler weather but little chance of cloudy / rainy day.

Am I going to stress all year about weather in October or has anyone got any experience of Majorca around this time? Do you need to wear a jumper at night or still nice?

A weekend on site accommodation wedding

Hey guys

Myself and my partner are really keen to have a destination wedding where we have everyone on site at either a Domaine / Chateau / Finca. Undecided the venue for now. There would be around 50 of us from Friday to Sunday.

This might sound like an odd question, but how do you cater for everyone throughout the weekend? We would plan to do a bbq on the Friday, wedding on the Saturday and pool party on the Sunday. Obviously there is catering at these events and breakfast included for guests too. However, what if someone wants a cup of coffee at 11am? 😂 it’s not constantly catered so do you have to go and buy in food / drinks before the weekend yourself? Also food, someone might be hungry at a time there isn’t an event on.

Destination wedding guests / journey help

Hi everyone

I’m looking for some advice on how brides worked / are working a destination wedding for their guests.

Currently having a disagreement with my mum as she doesn’t think it’s fair to ask guests to take indirect flights / the alternative to come longer than just the weekend.

For context, I’m looking at either an Italy or south of France wedding. One would require a flight to Florence and the other to Bordeaux. These flights only go out on a Thursday then return on a Sunday or Monday.

If you do a weekend buy out of the accommodation, do you expect guests to fly indirect on the Friday or find their own accommodation on the Thursday before coming to the wedding venue? Is an indirect flight even a big deal?

Venue / Wedding trip advice

A newly engaged, overwhelmed girl here!

Looking to get married in September 2027. Not that I want to rush things, but essentially age is not on my side so would rather not wait much longer. However, from experience would this be extremely stressful trying to get everything organised in 14 months?

Secondly, looking for a destination wedding. My ideal would be a French chateau with a weekend buy out with around 50 guests. However, many of my guests have said they would really like to make a week trip out of it. It’s made me think that perhaps more of a location near the sea where they could turn it into a week’s holiday would be better as myself and family would probably do the same.

Does anyone have any suggestions for France or Italy (or maybe other countries I haven’t thought of yet but not keen on Greece, Cyprus as want the more rustic look) that are suitable for an extended holiday nearby that many guests could book?

Budget is around £40k

Meta Business Suite messages not being received but others on the account can

My Meta Business Suite app has stopped receiving messages. The messages are there as our 2 other employees can see them. I can see them when I log into my desktop. When I delete and reinstall the app, I can see them but then nothing new will come through again.

So frustrating when you can’t contact Facebook for help and this is my business so need to get it sorted

Any ideas?
