How many of you just run crawler rc's just for the fun of it? I got into this about a year ago. I tried to get more plugged in at the small scene local to me by joining a comp but quickly found that I didn't want to spend the whole day (6+ hours) in a comp. How else have you been able to find other folks who just like crawling without doing comps?
I know there's the risk of these batteries igniting so it should be kept in something like a metal container or lipo bag. But even if your home didn't catch on fire, the toxic smoke and smell I'm sure would be bad for a long time perhaps even permanent. So what are your thoughts on keeping them in the garage away from flamables? That way in case of a battery failure the smoke and smell won't affect the living areas.
I live in Georgia and my garage ranges from 35 degrees to 90 degrees at the extremes. It is not insulated or air conditioned.
Just removed a wart on the bottom of my foot via week's of compound w. But I noticed a weird blotch in the pattern of my skin near where the old wart was. Could this be early signs of a wart? It's very small about the size of a sesame seed. But it has me paranoid.
Hey guys. I'm encountering an issue where after 1 shot, the viewfinder goes really dim unless I fold the camera back down and open it back up. Not sure what's the issue but after that it goes back to a bright viewfinder again. I don't think it's related but I just took some shots outside in direct sun and noticed some light leak marks coming from the same angle the sun was coming from. Not every shot was like this however.

after a few dry fire tests discovered this. When I put an empty itype film pack in, this dark viewfinder issue happens. But when the pack is not in, the camera fires and resets to a clear viewfinder every time.
