Bus Fares

Hi.

So I'm visiting from out of state and during my time here I plan on taking the bus fairly regularly. I thought the fair within Cary was $2.50 each way, but when I boarded, the driver said it was free?

I am very confused right now? Are some routes free? Are routes within Cary itself free?

I swear I've been on BlueSun's list for months and they still haven't given me a call back since the initial call

I don't know who or why they decided to block off the easiest pedestrian path in/out of Fred Meyer. I don't have a car and it's really not great for my back to lift a heavy cart full of groceries over it.
