Palafin (Pokémon)

Palafin is geniunely one of the most clever Pokémon designs in recent memory. At first glance, it looks kind of unchanged from its pre-evolved form, Finizen making the effort required to set up a union circle and grinding it to level 38 while it is active.

However, switch it out from battle for 1 turn, and it effectively pulls a typical hero costume change as its Zero to Hero ability activates. It now gets super top heavy, a cape, goggles and gloves, and can now stand on its tail. And the meek heart shape on its belly now becomes an homage to Superman's famous S symbol. It also gains a huge boost to its attacks and defenses to boot. Neat!

So if you can, pls just log onto fandom, read the guides on the mascotpedia front page and help reduce the junk on the wiki, please. Thank you.

(Repost due to title Typo) God Ginrai (Transformers:Super-God Masterforce)

Despite being the first Optimus Prime+other bot=Super Prime combination ever, he still holds up even in 2026.

Firstly, its his new chestplate, which completely changes the silhouette of the OG Powermaster prime super mode/Super Ginrai, an awesome design in its own right. It retains the windows and headlights, but the silver makes it look armored. It also helps protect the exposed engine the og super mode has, removing a flaw the design had.

And secondly, the wings. Sure they're a bit tacky, but they scream, "I fly now!", and given most contemporary Autobots could not fly (and most of the time they need to be in alt mode to fly), it does make him unique in a sense due to this alone.

It also makes him look rather big and mighty, perfect for an upgrade acquired late in a show's run that he'd need to handle the toughest foes.

Bellossom (Pokèmon)

Bellossom is kind of a cute lil (and I mean lil, it somehow shrunk to 0.4m upon evolving from the 0.8m tall Gloom) hula dancer. It has bright sparkly eyes and bright red cheeks, making it cute. It also leans somewhat into feminine design tropes assocoated with its basis with the flowers on the head and the leafy skirt, but it doesn't seem to be too on the nose about it .The way it slowly sways about in its idle animation is kind of endearing too.

Only flaw is it being very disconnected from oddish. Oh and not being native to alola (though oricorio pa'u style practices the same dance so...)

IN FOCUS: Singa, Water Wally, Hush-Hush Hannah - the Singaporean obsession with mascots

This article from 2022 is about mascots from Singapore and how they became big names around here. Its worth looking at IMO.

Becky Bunny (Families for Life Singapore)

This cutiepie has only existed for 5 years, and yet she's become one of the A lister mascots if recent National Day Parade lineups are to be believed.

At first glance, she's seemingly just a simple rabbit with a pink bonnet and yellow dress. However, she has a petite body and somewhat large eyes, as well as Pikachu-rsque red cheeks that give her the impression of always blushing. Plus, her yellow dress has hearts scattered all over it, representing her love of her family, tying back to the campaign she represents.

ES according to End of G1 Universe (yes, seriously)

"Knowing that the Covenant of Primus foretold that Optimus Prime would be separated from Elita One for four million years upon boarding the Ark for his energy-seeking mission, Alpha Trion used the Quill to write an alternate future in the Covenant where Elita-1 and Optimus Prime stayed together on Cybertron the following eons, creating the EarthSpark World."

-TFWiki translation of what the most recenglt comic unveiled.

(That being said, no, I don't think this means ES (or at least the JP dub) is now a part of JG1, since they're still treated as separate universes in the story. This connection seem likely just there to explain the g1 styled flashbacks)

Kellogg's apparently revived one of their older characters

Context: This is Katy the Kangaroo. When Frosted Flakes launched in 1952, she, Tony, as well as a gnu named Newt and an elephant named Elmo were all in the running to be the face of the cereal. While the latter 2 didnt make it to tv, she and Tony did, and ultimately she disappeared after Tony proved more popular.

70 years later, shes suddenly back as one of the faces of an upcoming school targeted cereal Kelloggs is making, alongside Tony, Toucan Sam and Apple Jacks' Cinnamon (who's still using his 2023 design, sorry 2000s kids).
