Rowlet's such a cute design: its essentially a chibi owl with short wings and legs, with its roundness being bith a key aspect and main selling point. When it rotates its head around on that unique owl neck joint, be it tilting its face to the side or looking behind, its kind of charming. Its also cute when dozing off somewhere, especially when collapsed into a loaf, though its default "no thoughts, head empty" look is adorable as well.
Another pseudo random post as I noticed that they've all suffered from yellowing to several degree, they also have sustained damage from the time they've existed, and his feet no longer tab together properly.
Generations Drift lost his small blades, and the red paintwork is scratched
POTP Jazz is likely the most destroyed, having beem decapitated, lost a wheel and the combiner port broke off.
POTP Dreadwind only lost his head.
Honestly, I think I'm ok with them yellowing. They look ok even with it, and plus given they're pre Earthrise figs, their yellowing is probably a badge of honor that they've been used pretty regularly. I think I'll only send Jazz and Dreadwind into permanent retirement after this, Drift probably still has some life left in him (even if he has a new figure), and given he's my second oldest figure (after Legends TFA Bee), I don't think I want to part ways with him anytime soon.
I don't remember if they were at last years, but Singa and co appeared at ndp 2026 rehearsal today. Their lineup is a bit different from normal though.
Singa and Sharity are still here (uncs. still got it), as is Captain Green, and newcomers Nila and Becky Bunny, and NDP mascot August. Instead of Teamy, Water Wally or Merli though, they invited BRAVE to the party.
BRAVE (yes their name is spelt in all caps) is among the newest of the group, being introduced in 2022. They continue in Singa amd Sharity's footsteps of promoting being nice. According to mascot dex, they are the mascot of the National Council of Social Service’s (NCSS) Beyond the Label (BTL) campaign, which aims to encourage early help-seeking behaviour and empower individuals to support their loved ones in their mental health journeys.
Water Wally and Teamy weren't completely forgotten though. The funpack has a bottle of NEWater, which Water Wally and Sally appear on, and in a segment talking about SG TV's greatest hits (including the likes of PCK and OG Mat Yoyo), Teamy was briefly shown during the part on campaigns alongside the Speak Mandarin Campaign and Singa.
I'm also pretty sure a segment where they pretended to insert data on SG to build an LLM was meant to have Merli in the input data, but they spelt his name as "Merly" (one of the 2010 YOG mascots) instead...though the 2015 SEA Games Opening Ceremony featuted Merly's counterpart Lyo during Nila's skit, so it could be on purpose.
-RID 15 Bee and screamer have not been revisited, but their WFC game counterparts got GE toys, and thus they're here. I used the 2nd RID 15 Bee (from Ultra Bee) as a representation of the RID 15 design in pic 2.
-The 3 Prime Masters (Micronus, Vector Prime and Liege Maximo) all got new toys in AOTP (though I only have Liege Maximos), and 2 of their decoy armors have gotten Legacy upgrades (Skullgrin and Metalhawk).
-Bot Shots Hound represents G1 Hound, who got upgrades via his Siege toy and its recent reissues im Gen Selects and MTMTE Collection
-The Dinobots kind of scored twice via SS86 and Legacy's core Volcanicus
-Of the bots in the 2nd image, excluding the confirmed for next year Drift and Hot Spot/Blades (red crane truck and sad looking, beat up choppa respectively) being inevitable, idk if any of them are getting redone beyond maybe Dreadwind (with Super God Masterforce counterpart as GS redeco) given the Hasbro team said they want to do more Powermasters.
-Got updates but not used here: AoE Voyager Grimlock (2 SS toys), Bot Shots Prime (based on Cybertron Prime, who got new life in GUOP and the Armada one from Legacy (via being the same guy)) and Megatron (the black one with red wheels, TFWiki classifies it as Bayverse Megatron, who got SS toys).
-Of the bots ive stored somewhere else, given I've elected not to use Siege onwards figs here, T30 Roadbuster, HFTD Tomahawk, and Titans Return Mindwipe would go in pic 2.
