Eyestrain linked to screen brightness?

Recently i started experiencing eyestrain from my phone (it's a PLS LCD with no pwm) and noticed that the brightness doesn't go all the way down despite having it on 0% so I had to initially install the screen dimmer app, which helped my eyestrain, however i'm trying to figure out why brightness bothers me and what may have suddenly changed in my eyes (presciption changes, weak eye muscles due to anemia? which i have right now) probably, why i feel like suffocating when staring at the screen? Because my eyes are so weak right now that its a marathon for them to start at screens? Also the fact that i'm frequently experiencing photophobia.

Maybe it's changes in the screen itself causing sudden eyestrain from apps that never gave me an issue.

I did notice Instagram updated their UI and even Youtube, both of which are giving me issues even on web versions.

I did ask on LEDstrain.org but got gaslit by this one person named ensate when I mentioned how genetic astigmatism or autoimmune conditions can contribute to eyestrain, and that i cannot afford e ink screens. This pwrson told me i was making excuses and that I'm wrong.

Allergic to majority objects, but not food

Is anyone else also allergic to action figures, all toys, dolls, paint, spray paint, pencils, most craft supplies, pens, markers, felt, craft wire, all glues, colored pencils, perfumes, dust, Mold, some types of plastic, detergent smells, my phone case, and similar products?

As someone who used to collect action figures and do crafts, I can’t do it anymore, thanks to my MCAS. I have to keep everything boxed up for my own good. Can't breath near them.

I was prescribed ketotifen, but I’d like to know if it caused anyone eye issues, especially since I also suffer from dry eye disease,

How should I go about disinfecting this second hand Mag Warriors figure? Afraid of possible mold

Hasn't arrived yet, and this is the seller's photo. As you can see, his environment is not clean, and there's 100% some growth on his walls, and the table he was displaying it on was nasty and i only noticed this later!

Can't afford an air purifier...will just make do with cleaning it outside my house and the action figure and toy subs are giving people bad advice, things like "Just let it be doesn't look dirty" or "just use a wet cloth"

Unfortunately I wanted to use vinegar on it for possible mold, but since it has magnetic joints i'm afraid of rust and vinegar can also strip paint.

I will obviously wear a mask while cleaning this and gloves too, i just want this thing to be safe for me before I breath near it. There's literally sone dark dirt on his weapon or mold?

I 100% suspect mold because look at the guy's place. The walls are nasty and even the table he was displaying it on. I tried asking him if it had a smell and he replied rather rudely. "Why would it have a smell? It doesn't" i was asking because I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and im sensitive to cigarette smell and fragrances

Unfortunately, this figure's head uses a coin cell battery and is the electronic part..

So the head will definitely need to be wiped down instead it being soaked. What can I wipe it with?

How is Redmi Note 8 from 2019?

I have a spare one, the battery on that swelled years ago and was replaced, and now the phone feels heavy. That phone never failed my eyes back then. But I did have to adjust the brightness to really low because I'm sensitive to brightness on screens, and so it had to be on dark mode as well. But idk it felt easier on the eyes? Some downsides were also battery life after the MIUi 12 update. It's been years since I looked at that phone.

The OS on that phone was also updated. it's still MIUI and It’s not laggy anymore at all, runs smoothly. Much better than the garbage I'm using. Did anyone have success with chinese phones? My current Samsung a06 has TD, unfortunately, and i only realised until a year later, i have suddenly started experiencing immediate burning and eyestrain from majority applications.

Should I wait until my eyestrain from this phone is over or immediately go back to my redmi Note 8? I also found out that PLS LCD phones are more harsher on the eyes than IPS LCD.

Losing hope. should give up on screens?

Do screens burn your eyes and make your curuncles sting and dry out immediately, but you still use them? Recently, I became sensitive to my phone out of nowhere, changed nothing, and now i'm experiencing pain. If I try to use my phone for even a few minutes, it happens more when I open any app.

Now, I already experience dry eye syndrome, and maybe it's flaring again? But this feels like it's screen induced and i am worried because I'm not rich and can not afford e-ink or another phone.

I cried, and it made my eyes burn even more. I feel alone and hopeless. I was considering a screen detox, but that's impossible for me. I tried to go back to my old reddit note 8, but even that causes strain now..i cant go to an Opthalmologist right now and dont know what's causing this sudden strain. Vagus nerve stuff? because I feel like i'm suffocating, and my throat feels tight when I stare at screens now and my heart rate will go up.

Did colour filters help anyone?

I'm at a loss and wonder if colour filter or colour correction helped anyone else, I haven't been able to tolerate my phone screen these days.

It's an LCD, but I still get symptoms.

As someone childfree, my parents didn't deserve children and i feel like most parents dont.

As usual, my ten siblings and I were born after arguments aka make up sex and our parents never really wanted us. They just brought us into the world and then tossed us out as if that were enough.

I’ve also noticed this pattern in almost everyone who has kids: many people seem to have children mainly for status and validation. As someone with a narcissistic father who tormented us and made us feel unwanted, I’m glad that I don’t plan to continue either of my parents’ bloodlines, especially in a patriarchy that treats you terribly simply for being born a certain sex.

One of my cousins has a toddler boy, and seeing his behaviour made me furious. He kept grabbing our personal things, chewing on them, and ignoring boundaries. The parents, as usual, didn’t correct him or tell him to stop. Another incident was when one of my female cousins were being wed and we had alot of guests. Some random woman's toddler decided to piss herself in our corrider and started crying. I'm glad there wasn't a carpet there.

The mother had to clean it all up. While the father was nowhere to be found and had just wandered off. As always.

And It’s also heartbreaking that, due to abortion laws in various countries, if a woman or girl is assaulted, they are forced to carry a r@pist’s baby. I feel deeply sorry for the women and girls going through that, especially countries where women have little to no rights. It’s something people rarely talk about, and it’s especially unjust that when a woman is assaulted, she often ends up suffering the consequences the most, especially if she can't abort the fetus. while the r@pist just goes about his day happily.

And they want people to have children in a world like this.

Why would should anyone have kids in a world run by predators?

Another major reason why i am childfree? This world is filled with sickos, alot of predatory and narcissistic people end up having kids, too, and it creates a cycle of abuse and trauma. I don't like kids, infact my trauma and anxiety triggers near them. I don't know how to behave or deal with kids either.

but I would never abuse them or bear seeing them being abused by predators. People like Epste1n are many. I see so many messed up stories of parents committing brutal filicides after torturing and raping their own kids..and i always feel so bad for those poor kids.

These are especially the kind of people who should not be having kids, i think a lot of people just pump out kids and don't really know how to deal with them and is exactly why people should wear protection.

Some people will also have kids just to be able to prey on them, for status, heirs or to force them into child labour. It's a cruel and miserable world where i don't see any point in having kids. In fact, the world is run by predators.

Edit: forgive the Typo in the title

As someone born with disabilities i wish my mother had the option to be childfree

As usual, my parents kept having children, yet hated each other, treated us like dirt, traumatized us, and neglected us. I was the runt of the litter and developed horrible autoimmune conditions in my teen years most of which were genetic, dad is a narcissist who didn’t prioritize us like abusing us emotionally, went and had more babies with other women, and children he wouldn’t even raise or spend time with. People with untreated mental health issues shouldn’t be having children and should get a vasectomy.

My parents still don’t care about us and didn’t deserve to have kids in the first place. Creating children you don’t take responsibility for or knowing they will be born with horrible physical disabilities is child abuse.

I have chronic anemia, POTS, hyperacusis, screen sensitivity, CFS/ME, mast cell activation syndrome, because of some genetic factor, which i am 100% positive came from my dad, my dad also used to smoke until his lungs couldn't take it and he developed a lung condition then passed all that onto me, didn't know i had the mold gene which led to me being extremely prone to mold toxicity and them developing multiple chemical sensitivity in my 20s. All of which can infact be caused by trauma.

This means I’m allergic to nearly every scent, so I can no longer be in public without risking anaphylaxis. All my siblings grew up traumatized, wishing we had never been born. On top of that, we had a pro-life mother who couldn't even raise us properly, though it’s hard to blame her entirely when she was dealing with domestic violence 24/7. Still, both of my parents were deeply immature. Now, I'm suffering daily because of my disabilities. I know that back them women didn't really have a choice, especially in a third world country, and because of the conservative culture, they were expected to have children. I also don't like kids in general. They give me anxiety, especially bad mannered and spoiled kids.. I have some PTSD so kids and babies crying can also be a trigger.
