My partner and I went going on a trip and we decided to leave our dog at a home-based boarding. The owners were a married couple who owned 5 dogs too. They board 2-5 pets at a time. (During Harvey’s stay he was alone on the first night then the next day another dog joined him). This was our first time we boarded our pet so we were a little nervous too (like most of the fur parents or parents in general leaving their kids someplace!).
We chose a home-based boarding since the dogs get to roam freely and have a scheduled alone time. The owners are also fur parents too so we know they know how to take care of dogs. They are also attentive, we got so much updates. They even made Harvey do decompressing activities at the start so he can ease in the environment. They also know how to train dogs during walks! We were at ease the entire time. The wife would also sit beside Harvey during mealtimes coz they observed Harvey doesn’t like to eat alone. At one point they brought Harvey in their room with the other dogs so he can experience air conditioning but Harvey preferred to sleep alone. They would also walk the dogs with the dog boarders twice a day so they can poo and pee and have their sniffing time.
When we picked Harvey up, he was just so tired he slept the entire day! But he got more disciplined during his walks. He rarely barks at passerby’s, other dogs, or cars now. He’s focused most of the time during walks. He doesn’t bark so much anymore. He became more mellow but still playful. I think the boarding did him good in socializing! 😊
Just wanted to share my experience and debunk the negativity around boarding.
Hello! My partner and I started playing pickleball in March. We usually just play with friends sa iba’t ibang courts and in our condo’s pickleball court. We also tried joining group coaching sa Ateneo.
We’re looking for courts that have beginner-friendly open play or clubs. We tried playing with a club na beginner-friendly but majority sa kanila nasa beginner to intermediate na.
Baka you can suggest! We usually play in QC, Marikina, Pasig, Rizal.
