2019 Specialized Allez Elite Road Bike – 54 cm 2000$cad

Very lightweight (18 lbs), always well maintained, and ready to ride. The chain was recently replaced and has only about 300 km on it.
Several upgrades have been added over the years:
Shimano 105 brake calipers
Ultegra 11–28 cassette
Superteam 50 mm carbon wheels
Continental GP5000 25 mm tires
RideNow TPU inner tubes
Ultegra R8000 pedals

Im thinking about giving 1700$cad…

Time RXRS ultra Team for 1800$ cad

I’m looking to buy my first road bike and came across this carbon endurance bike. From what I’ve seen, there doesn’t seem to be many advantages to buying a new road bike under CAD $2,000, with the possible exception of the Canyon Endurace Allroad at around CAD $1,750 + taxes. I’m talking long term here :)

I wanted to get your thoughts on this bike. It comes with nearly new wheels and appears to be in impeccable condition based on the photos.

My biggest concern is the fit. It’s a medium-sized frame (probably around 54 cm), and I’m 5’8” (173 cm). I don’t want to spend the money only to end up with a bike that isn’t comfortable.

Do you think the price is great or/else that I’m better buying a bike at a dealer where I can be guaranteed comfort?

Books / learning tools for electrochemistry

Hi, I’m a 2nd year undergraduate in chemistry and my Uni isn’t so invested in electrochemistry. Are there books or methods that you great people recommend?

Most teachers are oriented in the organic field, but I simply think that I can learn most of the stuff in that domain by reading articles, + why memorize 1 million reaction types that won’t ever be usefull to me. I enjoy the principles of organic and inorganic chem, but I think that there is a great potential (joke aside) in electrochemistry for developping different devices based on my last intership. The problem is that I can’t truly get the hang of that subject compared to other chem related topics.

Thanks 🤗
