Is 3rd FTA0 normally links with biometrics day? My spouse and I both got 3d FTA0 on August 13 but no SU. I am trying to understand if that FTA0 is just part of general batch update or it really means an advancement on the case. My case is still on NBC and Spouse's case is on San Diego FO. Receipt date March 18 and Biometrics April 8.
I requested a congressional inquiry on April 18 for expediting I-765 based on financial hardship and USCIS gave the following response yesterday:
Your inquiry and the submitted documentation regarding your constituent’s expedited processing request is being referred for consideration in the appropriate Nebraska Service Center (NSC) unit where cases of this type are adjudicated. If the request is approved, your constituent’s case will be assigned to an adjudications officer for further examination. Taking into account the current volume of cases and expedited processing requests that are received at the NSC, we cannot predict the date on which the expedite consideration and adjudication process will be complete in your constituent’s case. However, if you choose to follow-up with the NSC after approximately 21-30 days ( Monday, July 14, 2026 30 days from today: Thursday, July 23, 2026) from the date of this email, we can provide a case status update in response to your office’s future inquiry.
Is it a normal response or are they going to deny the expedite request? My expedite request via USCIS inbox got denied after transferring to NSC by a tier 2 officer.
Have any one from March 2026 filing successfully expedited I-765? I (principal applicant) requested expedited I-765 due to severe financial loss on April 14 and it was forwarded to NSC by Tier 2 officer on April 28. But the request got closed at NSC without any response on May 11. I have also placed a congressional inquiry about 30 days ago but USCIS didn’t respond to that yet. What to do next? My employer is terminating me next week due to expiration of my STEM OPT.
I filed my I-485 and I-765 on March 18, 2026 and gave biometrics on April 8,2026. I applied for expedited processing for I-765 based on severe financial loss to myself and my company. Today I got the message about forwarding my expedited request to the reviewing office. Normally how long it will take after that for a decision? My EAD is expiring in 3 weeks and I will be terminated after that.
