I am yet to properly understand about the region of Bengal, and I am looking for some books/proven sources to read.

When I say Bengal, please note I am referring to overall Bengal region and not current state/country boundaries. Thus, my Bengal refers to Indian states of West Bengal, eastern parts of Jharkhand (since it was part of Radha region, were they indigenous Bengalis [by ancestry and genetics]?), parts of Assam, Tripura, and the entire country of Bangladesh

My questions are:

  1. How old were settlements in the Bengal region (overall)?
  2. During the time for Harappan Civilization, what was happening in Bengal region?
  3. How was the geography of Bengal in terms of settlement plans?
  4. How was migration plan in Bengal, i.e., did people move from this region towards Middle Gangetic plains?
  5. Ancient kingdoms, empires, quality of life (how good was the civilization compared to rest, equally powerful, rich?).
  6. How old can we trace back settlements in Bengal and why are they not very famously known?

Do we have any origin of the Shakya clan yet?

Where does the Shakya clan come from? Who were the people? Indo-Aryans (by genetics) or Nepalese people (Mongoloid genes?) or wasn't there a theory (probably wring but still has to be counted) on being of Munda origin which is present in Odisha and Southern Bengal region?

Naaaah! This dude says Aryans are native and whatnot. How do these people even continue to exist? Dawin's theory is failing here now.

Were the people in those regions more advanced than rest of the continent? What made Indian peninsula so successful over China or Tibet regions?

Also, there were rivers in Deccan and Peninsula. So, what stopped them from growing like the Magadh-Awadh-Kosala region?

Was there any influence of Indo-Aryans in that region? And why did Indo-Ayans primarily succeeded in battle-like lifestyle (most wars were recorded from areas heavily settled by them)?

If indeed that was the case, why was Gupta's identity largely not associated with Bengal but U.P.?

What stopped historians from still figuring out the origin of Gupta dynasty? Lack of evidences?

Government, Risk and Resilience. What exactly is this? We have Big 4 and some big names and yet the niche players still thrives with lots of business. Why is it not possible for a single entity to take care of this?

What exactly is about this domain that lets a lot of players exist even with competitors and is it at all possible to bring out a killer that takes down atleast 50% of the small ones?

Why have we not seen such in YC yet (might be wrong)? This does seem to be one of the boring topics which brings in money.

Can YC see one of these soon?
