Betrayed by Motorola Brand – Warranty Rejected for Minor Dent
I purchased the Motorola G86 Power on 31/08/2025. On 09/04/2026, my phone suddenly shut down automatically. There was no water damage, no accident, nothing unusual.
I went to the service centre within 1 hour after the phone stopped working. First, they told me I could not claim warranty because my phone had a small dent. Yes, my phone has a minor dent from normal daily use, but it is very small. I believe 95% of users have similar small scratches or dents on their phones.
After some argument, they checked the phone internally and later confirmed there was no water damage and no accidental damage inside the phone.
Then they told me they had to send the phone to the company and would update me within 48 hours about the warranty claim. This whole process wasted around 3 hours of my day — 2 hours waiting and 1 hour discussing everything.
Today (09/05/2026), they rejected my warranty claim and asked for ₹26,000 repair cost for a phone that originally cost ₹17,000.
The worst part came after this. I called customer support. First, I had to deal with the AI system, then after almost 30 minutes I finally connected with a support agent. I explained my warranty issue and asked for help, but they simply told me they could do nothing.
I requested them to at least register a complaint and review my case one more time, but again they refused to help properly. I even asked for an email or any official contact where I could explain my issue further, but they did not provide any useful support information.

I purchased a Motorola phone because I heard from many YouTubers that Motorola cares about customers, but my experience has been completely opposite.
At this point, I have honestly lost all hope.
Please think carefully before purchasing a Motorola phone. My experience with their warranty and customer support has been extremely disappointing.
