One of my favorite things about Scarlet Hollow is how much it lets the player decide the protagonist's personality. I love it. I want to find more games that do the same. I already played both Our Life games, I'm also not picky about genre or tone. Please. If anyone has some recs, then thank you

I read The Haunting Of Hill House and fell in love with it, I already plan to read more of Shirley Jackson's work but would like to read other horror and thriller novels that were written and set back in that decade. If it's possible, I'd prefer female protagonists, but I'm not picky. If anyone has recs, thanks!

I’ve been thinking about the likelihood of the town turning on MC, and what could lead up to that. By episode five, things are going to hell. Mob mentality flourishes during a crisis, and people might look for someone to blame. Similar to how the player’s actions determine the strength of the strike, the same will apply to how many people want MC tied to a rail.

1. What has been MC’s attitude towards the town?
   • If MC has treated everyone kindly, supported the strike, etc, then people might remember that. They might also remember if MC has been a huge asshole all week.
2. How weird has MC been?
   • Something for mystical/talk-to-animals players to worry about. Scarlet Hollow is a superstitious town not a fan of outsiders. People might not be super understanding if MC has been conversing with animals and screaming about impending doom. Now, I’m not saying MC will get called a witch, but well, Tabitha can already face similar accusations.
3. Are Becka and Alexis stuck in the mine?
   • Here’s a good place to mention cops’ reasons for distrusting you are likely to overlap with the town’s. That doesn’t mean views won’t differ though. The cops might always blame MC for the mine collapse, but if MC didn’t leave two girls to die then the town might not.
4. Is the library still standing?
   • Again, just cause Franklin blames MC for everything doesn’t mean the whole town will. However, the more which is lost will result in people getting angrier, more fearful, and quicker to hostility.
5. Is Doctor Kelly Dead?
   • Word is gonna travel fast that the town’s only doctor is missing, presumed dead. She was a vital member of the community who was needed now more than ever, and her death will not be received well.
6. Are all the cops dead?
   • Terrible at their jobs or not, if the entire police force goes down during a crisis, the situation is only going to turn into even more of a chaotic mess where people are taking decisions into their own hands. For better or worse. It should be noted as well if anyone witnesses MC get arrested on the same day all the cops die, that’s going to look bad.
7. Tabitha’s relationship with the player.
   • This is the only one I’m on the fence about, but I think there’d a decent chance that if Tabitha and MC’s relationship is low, she can try turning the town against them. She’d be the most effective at this in playthroughs where Rosalina is missing a leg and everyone thinks she’s a hero. Other routes where everyone hates her, same as usual, probably not. And of course, if MC's relationship with her is high, she'll do everything in her power to keep them safe.

Those are all the reasons I can think of for the town to snap and try Shawing MC. As for the severity of the town’s ire, I see several outcomes.

1. Majority of the town doesn’t blame MC.
   • MC has been the goodest little cousin, and the town is doing relatively okay considering the circumstances. At most, we might get a few comments and some muttering, but that’s it.
2. One or more people try rallying the town against MC but fail.
   • While I can see this happening, I feel if someone tries turning the town against MC, it’d need to be someone specific, and I am unsure who. As mentioned, it could be Tabitha, but I can’t think of anyone else.
3. Majority of town blames MC and it’s up to them to defend themselves.
   • People are angry and suspicious, but it’s still possible for MC to talk them down. This is where it’ll be handy to have friends, your chosen love interest, and Tabitha standing by to come at your defense. If MC fails to deescalate the situation however…
4. Full witch hunt.
   • I don’t think MC is gonna get actually tied to a rail, but they can no longer show their face around town without things going very badly for them. They have to stay elusive and hide away from most people. They will also need to rely on those closest to them for protection.
5. Tabitha is the one the town turns against.
   • I haven’t mentioned the possibility up until now, but I would be surprised if this wasn’t a potential outcome in game. If a riot occurs, Tabitha will be accused of being a vampire who eats children. There is no way things can’t get worse for her. Say if the strike is high, and Tabitha has been present for a number of all the bad stuff that’s happened. There’s even the possibility the town could turn against her and MC.

 

So, there you have it. This was fun to speculate about. When the final chapters come out, I look forward to seeing if I was right or not.

Just got back into reading bnha fics, and I'd really love to find a fic that explores how Izuku having a villain quirk while wanting to be a hero would realistically effect both him and the plot.

Not to get too picky, but I do got a few caveats. First, I'm not interested in Inko or All Might bashing, I like both of them too much. Also, while I'm okay with Izuku being a little different, as that's makes sense, I still want him to ultimately feel like Izuku.

Anyway, thanks in advance if anyone feels like sharing a rec.

For the record, I'm not saying episode five should have had one. It just occured to me its the first episode that doesn't so far. I'm not sure where you would fit one anyway? Maybe something to do with Sybil or even a really short scene for when Tabby cries? But thats just me imagining.

It does make me wonder if episode six or seven will have one though. As episode seven is the final one, I could see it having a big animated scene at the end to crown everything off. But who knows. On the other hand, I can get why the devs don't feel like adding those in anymore. Animation takes forever and this game is already a labor of love.

I'm making a playlist and this song has the exact vibe I want for it. So, I'm trying to find others like it. Songs that are beautiful, creepy, unsettling, and have a distinctly inhuman feel to it, for lack of a better word. Maybe mythical sounding is a good way to describe what I want? I'm not sure if I'm making sense, anyways, thanks to anyone who takes the time to comment.

I'm making a playlist with a OC in mind and are trying to find songs that fit the vibe as it were. Examples for songs similar to what I want are "Abbey" by Mitski, "It Will Come Back" by Hozier, and "Cop Car" by Mitski again. Appreciate any recs!

This is what's going on in one of my playthroughs, and I keep thinking about how Kaneeka will react to learning Stella is helping Tabitha plan to lock her new partner away for the rest of their life. Before episode five, Kaneeka clearly didn't like that Stella likes Tabitha, but she didnt blame her for it. The closest she comes to showing actual disapproval towards Stella is when she remarks that the miners shouldn't have planned a strike right when Tabitha's mom died.

But this is very likely going to be the final straw. I dont see her immediately cutting off Stella right away. She probably would be shocked, heartbroken, and maybe try to convince herself that Tabitha manipulated her. But I really don't think Kaneeka and Stella's relationship can survive this.

And I haven't even mentioned how Stella would handle this. She didnt remember Kaneeka in episode five and that likely contributed in her... decisions. She was alone, isolated, and missing all the memories of one of her closest friends. Do I think Kaneeka reappearing is enough to pull her back? Not a high chance. She'll probably express guilt to Kaneeka, but try to justify her decision to her, and thats how you have two people who used to be close on completely opposite sides. Kaneeka ending their friendship could be the thing that makes Stella have second thoughts, but it could also just make her double down.

Oh, and as for routes where the player has mystical... I think that once Stella realizes that locking them up is no longer necessary, she will backtrack immediately. But in the way where she only gives a sorta half-hearted, awkward apology because she doesnt want to confront that she was planning to do a really awful thing. And well, its up to Kaneeka and more so the player if they can forgive her.

Anyway, this is super rambly and are just my current predictions, im happy to hear what other people think.

Does anyone else have an issue with how a romanced Reese tries to leave town without so much as saying goodbye to MC? Yes, it is realistic considering they've only known eachother for two days, and for pacing reasons, I get that the devs probably don't want to include an extra scene where Reese and MC try to leave together just to fail. Regardless, it still really rubs me the wrong way. At the very least I'd like there to be an option to comment on it.

Thoughts?

I love Tabby, but it would be so cool if there an ending in the final chapter is you can imprison her in your place. It'd be such a great mixed between deeply fucked up, disturbing, but also satisfying for players with a hostile relationship with Tabitha to finally get one over her. As weird as it sounds, playing the evil character can be fun sometimes.

Do I think this will happen? Probably not. Do I know how it'd even work logistically? No. Would it be interesting? Hell yeah.

I recently downloaded the newest update of Krita and since then my mirror tool is acting off. When I use it, it changes and moves stuff around that I've already drawn beforehand. Sorry, I don't quite know how to describe it, but I'm really not a fan. If anyone knows what I'm talking, can I please have some help fixing it.
