Wavy/ curly hair help!

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some help with my hair routine because I feel like I’ve hit a wall.
I think my hair sits somewhere between 2B and 3A depending on the day. It’s very thick, quite dry, and it doesn’t seem to hold its shape very well. It also tends to grow out rather than down, so as it gets longer it just gets bigger instead of weighing itself down. I want to be able to go about my day without constantly worrying that it’s going to expand the second I step outside, especially in humidity.
My current routine is:
Leave-in conditioner on soaking wet hair.
The Doux Texture Foam.
Curlsmith In-Shower Style Fixer.
Air dry or diffuse depending on the day.
The problem is my hair either ends up feeling too stiff from the gel or still dry, and I never seem to get that balance of definition, softness, hydration, and hold. It also loses its shape fairly quickly.
What I’m looking for is:
Better curl/wave definition.
Frizz and humidity control.
Hair that stays hydrated and shiny instead of looking dry.
A routine that gives hold without feeling crunchy or overly stiff.
Products that work well for thick, dry 2B/3A hair.
I’m also wondering if my haircut or length is part of the problem. Has anyone with similar hair found that a different cut helped stop it from expanding so much?
I’d really appreciate any routine recommendations, holy grail products, or tips from people with similar hair. Thanks!

The problem is my hair either ends up feeling too stiff from the gel or still dry, and I never seem to get that balance of definition, softness, hydration, and hold. It also loses its shape fairly quickly. It is also prone to product build up and I find I’m washing it more than I would like to.
What I’m looking for is:
Better curl/wave definition.
Frizz and humidity control.
Hair that stays hydrated and shiny instead of looking dry.
A routine that gives hold without feeling crunchy or overly stiff.
Products that work well for thick, dry 2B/3A hair that I can get in England.
I’m also wondering if my haircut or length is part of the problem. Has anyone with similar hair found that a different cut helped stop it from expanding so much?
I’d really appreciate any routine recommendations, holy grail products, or tips from people with similar hair. Thanks!
