Hugging my puppy closer and tighter today

Trixie lost her brother Sirius today, and her other brother Gryffin isn’t out of the woods yet - he got diagnosed with distemper yesterday, same as Sirius (diagnosed Saturday).

Hugging her a little closer and tighter and really hoping she did not catch the virus.

Distemper sucks

This good boy caught distemper a week after he was diagnosed with coronavirus. He’s been coughing and sneezing, and is on IV fluids right now. Vet said we have seven days to find out if he can make it. Truly hope he does. 💔🙏🥹

A little story time

Recently, I’ve been posting on this sub about the two beagle puppies I adopted where the momma dog was way too young to have gotten pregnant and cannot accommodate all the pups anymore due to the litter having seven little puppies fighting for milk.

Yesterday, the owner contacted me to say that the one puppy I was initially supposed to get (I did not for some reasons, I’ll probably tell this story another time) is the only one left in their care and not a single inquiry about the said pup has been made.

In my head, I’ve had a thought that maybe we should adopt the puppy ourselves, but I was hesitant because we already have two new beags and two other older dogs.

Guess what? I’ve told our household commander AKA my wife that the puppy hasn’t gotten adopted til now and without a blink she suggested we adopt him instead! Thank heavens for this woman!

So fast forward to today, we picked the puppy up and took him home to be reunited with his brother Gryffin(dor) and sister (Bella)Trixie.

Since the two other beagies were named after HP characters, and this guy was initially named Blackie by the owner, we named him Sirius.. Black 🫶🏻🤪

Guess what’s meant for you will find its way to you. 🐶

Christmas came early 🎄

We camped out in the living room and my son was feeling Christmas-y so he put on these pillow covers. A minute later, Trixie decided to get cozy. She looks like an early Christmas present 🫶🏻🥹

Took over our hearts

Their mom Summer got pregnant after just turning one and the owner did not even realize that she was carrying puppies until she gave birth.

There were seven of them and after just a few weeks, Summer has started acting agitated and doesn’t want to feed the puppies anymore.

We were initially just going to adopt one but thought we could help the other puppies big time by adopting at least two as they were very thin due to the competition - even when their mom feeds them 1-3x a day.

After only 5 days with us, they have gained weight and altho it’s absolute chaos when they’re awake —- we wouldn’t have it any other way.

These two definitely stole our hearts - our shih tzu’s and husky’s included 🫶🏻

Somebody found a big brother 🫶🏻🐶

Took a few days for them to warm up to each other and now they are inseperable!

And yes, they are fond of their mom’s slipper(s).

Bored Rich Kids turned CEO

Has anyone else experienced working for a client who’s built a start up and has way too much ideas with no actual plan for execution but wants it executed ASAP?

Don’t get me wrong, the ideas are not all so bad - just not fail proof. Here are some examples:

  1. Wants to acquire more clients - doesn’t want to start with basic marketing such as Social Media, Email Marketing, etc. Just wants one person to do cold calling. Did not even have a website nor a solid document to serve as a company portfolio whatsoever.

  2. Wants the VAs to create a video testimonial but does not even know what to do with these videos -just thinks it’s a good to have. To be fair, these videos might be useful in the long run but it would be such a waste of time for the VAs. Mind you, the idea was to have the VAs act as if it were a full-on interview with high resolution camera and aesthetically pleasing background. The company won’t be providing any budget for these VAs to even rent a camera or coworking space to shoot it. The VAs must provide/find the resources themselves. Use their HD phones or borrow a friend’s HD phone if necessary.

  3. Wants the recruitment specialist to take over in conceptualizing, collecting the videos, putting it all together, and editing it - declined the idea of hiring a separate video editor or marketing person for this task (and other marketing task). Not to mention, this recruitment specialist already does Ads Management for the company (another start-up of the same CEO where the budget for Ads is $5/day).

These are just my top three but the list is endless. It’s as if the CEO is just a rich kid who was pretty bored then decided to build a company.

So glad this rollercoaster of an employment ends today.
