How can I get more neurological brain power in my afternoons?

I'm an older person (doing a strict MM lifestyle) so this issue of having declining brain power in the latter part of my day isn't causing my career to suffer-- but in my personal life it affects my quality of life because all I really feel like doing in the afternoon (until I get a second wind) is vegging out in front of the TV. I know this isn't morally wrong but even reading a book is sometimes too much. And I LOVE to read! I seem to only want to read before bed (while in bed) and that usually means I read 5 pages or less before falling asleep.

I wonder if my habit of getting myself back to sleep in the middle of the night by listening to something on my phone is draining all my brain power. I keep the phone away from my head and put one of those deals (I forget what they are called) (that Anthony says helps block the EMFs) between my phone and my body.

I drink a green juice in the afternoon and a spinach soup for lunch so I think I am getting enough leafy greens. I really try to manage my glucose too. And eat every 1.5-2 hours.

I have pretty awesome brain power in the mornings though.

Is this just normal or are there tools I can bring in to help with this afternoon slump?

Thanks!

I am happiest being home. . .

But I feel pressure (somewhat from myself) but a lot from other people (like close family members) to go go go and do do do. If I am "just spending the day at home" I am not really living according to the world. When they ask what are you going to do today I find myself struggling for what to say. It is really hard to give myself the permission I need to fully embrace homemaking and my wonderful lifestyle when others don't get it.

It feels like I live in a family and social culture that measures me by what I do. My daughter recently told me that it is sad that I don't travel a lot. For me it is sad when I do travel a lot.

My best days are at home.

Does anyone relate and how do you handle it?

Thank you!

Is it possible to heal chronic dehydration or am I just keeping the symptoms temporarily down?

I definitely suffer from chronic dehydration but seem to be able to keep the symptoms down if I:

Eat 1/2 melon per day

5 liters of lemon water per day

no salt, no fat, no grains or beans

Eat only raw foods

If I veer from these things I start getting very PAINFUL cutting on my hands.

Can anyone comment on this and did you heal it? Thank you!

Anybody else on raw fat free MM foods feel euphoria/joy after drinking a green juice?

I make an 8 oz afternoon green juice of kale, celery (or spinach), parsley and lime juice juice and it gives me a happy feeling inside after drinking it!

Have you noticed that too?

Hydrogen Peroxide for Diaper Rash

I heard on a live AW say that hydrogen peroxide has many uses one of which is for rashes. I assume that is for diaper rash too.

Has anyone here used it on a diaper rash on a baby or toddler? How did it go? Did you dilute it? Or use it straight?

Thanks!

running the dishwasher on "sanitize" cycle

For those of you with family members who don't do Medical Medium, do you do anything as a precaution when sharing silverware and drinking glasses?

Recently a non MM family member used a steroid on his lips to heal a bad case of strep and it freaked me out because I share all utensils with him. I have been running the dw on sanitize but that doesn't really kill the pathogens, right?

Plus there are family members who eat troublemakers in the house and I share utensils with them (after washing of course).

I would like to figure this out so I can take it off my "worry list".

I have also asked the Angel of Disarmament for help.

Any other tips? What do you do about it and what is your mindset for this challenge? Thanks!

Draft of Friendly Request for my apartment neighbors to use free and clear laundry soap and skip the dryer sheets--please help me write it

Hi MM Friends!

I'd like to post a short note in the elevator of our small apartment building asking neighbors to consider using Free and Clear (unscented laundry soap) since the fumes from the dryer vents somehow seep into my apartment and down to the basement garage and even the elevator.

I am considering saying this in the note and posting it in the elevator and would like to hear any points you would add or subtract:

Hello ______ neighbors!

This is your neighbor ____ in unit____ and I would like to make a friendly request that you consider using free and clear laundry soap and dryer sheets (if you use dryer sheets at all). The scented detergent and dryer sheets come through into my apartment and make me feel sick. I also smell it in the garage. Most every detergent has a free and clear option available to buy. We buy Seventh Generation Free and clear. But there are many other options.

I know you might have a favorite detergent you don't want to give up--- but it would help me greatly if you would think about switching! Even after having all the dryer vents cleaned last year, we are still smelling the perfumed smell coming through to our place and in the common areas.

Some neighbors have already made the switch and I thank you so much!

Thank you!

What changes or additions would you make?

How to get out of the cycle of working diligently toward simplicity and then heading to an online shopping binge?

I have struggled with going from simple life discipline to buying sprees for years. I don't put myself in financial harm, but the time wasted on shopping online and returning the item is such a bummer. Mainly it is clothes and shoes I buy. It seems like I am telling myself: "this will be my last purchase" (and mostly it is) but I want to stop the cycle. My life when I am not in a cycle of shopping is way better.

Any help for me? Have others struggled with this? (I'm not putting my family in danger by doing this but it does harm me and isn't really aligned with my values). Thank you. Please share if you have broken this cycle and how!

Have you found any good books for children to teach them about Angels?

I'd like to introduce a child to the concept of Angels helping and watching over her. Are there any out there that are non religious or if religious they don't focus on a specific denomination? Any you have liked? Thanks.

What's our most "creamy" MM fat free, salt free, raw salad dressing or dip that can be made ahead? Out of all the ones you've tried, which are your favorite?

I don't ask for much! haha!

Do you have a favorite that's always on rotation and you keep in the refrigerator to use as needed? Thank you!

Are there any plant based home cooks you like to watch on YouTube (besides AW)?

I find cooking shows relaxing sometimes. I used to love watching Kaihla Tonai on YouTube. She was doing the MM lifestyle and posting videos of her cooking but her account isn't there anymore. :(

Do you have favorites you would share? They don't have to be MM cooks per se, but plant based would be nice.

I like watching Chasing Simple on YT doing her meal prep for the week (she works full time) and then I try to see what I could do to prep ahead of time from her videos. She is gluten free but not doing MM at all---- but I still learn from her. And her videos are relaxing.

Thank you for your suggestions!

PS Another one I have liked that I found on IG is The Family Freezer (I think). She has make ahead and freeze-- plant based options. Not MM at all but I learned from her too. She is on YT and has a lot of free content.

What is your favorite bag for carrying your food and water with you on errands etc?

Do you have a favorite to go bag that you put your food in for short trips or maybe being away from the house for 2-3 hours? Thanks!

Slowing Down

Has anyone here in the MM community been successful in slowing down even as the world pace keeps getting faster and faster? I have always had trouble slowing down in life but MM says in AD and ST that darkness loves it when we do things fast. (not a direct quote) Mistakes are made and accidents happen. Something to that effect.

Has anyone here been successful at this and how did you do it? Did you start out moving through the world at a slower pace or is this something you taught yourself?

I am very motivated but so far haven't been very successful at it.

Thanks.

PS I think my hurrying stems primarily from fear. Fear of not having enough time. Fear that I won't have enough time to do all the protocols I need to do. Fear that other people will encroach upon my time and I will miss glucose. It comes from a place of lack.

Honey question

A friend gave us some of his "homegrown" honey from his beekeeping hobby. I know nothing about his sanitation or cleanliness while doing this. He said it is raw and unfiltered. Should I be concerned about anything or just eat it and thank the Angels for the abundance? Thank you.

I'd love to hear your favorite raw dinner ideas!

I am trying to stay raw fat free salt free (because my symptoms decrease) for dinner and wondered what your favorite raw MM recipes are for doing that?

I like the MM Asparagus Dip and the MM Banana Salad.

Any others you love?

Double points for recipes I can make ahead! 😄

THANK YOU!

Anyone else really feeling the loss of AW online right now?

I know it is probably temporary but I'm really starting to feel it. Do you think he is writing a book? Is this absence online longer than the other books? I wonder if he is working on a "series" that he alluded to (didn't he?) along the lines of Angels Demons and Spiritual Tools? I really miss his telegram messages. Maybe watching his YouTube shorts would be a good replacement right now while I wait?
