Hey I know you don’t have a job but are you in a financially secure enough situation to move

Had this baby for a month and half(ish) now and it keeps yellowing and losing leaves. It gets watered in a pearlite/soil mix about every 7-9 days and receives lots of bright indirect light (about 10 hours) from a north facing window (upstairs so no blockage). I’ve never had an English ivy so I’m not sure how to make this guy thrive ? Any obvious mistakes I’m making ?
Edit: also it gets hit with a humidifier with its plant brethren twice a week! Is that too often maybe??
My cutting of my pink princess grew two new leaves instead of any root system and the main stalk has largely turned mush. Any way to save it? Thinking of chopping off the mushy parts and planting straight into perlite to try and save it.
