My (39F) husband's (44M) bad habits gross me out, is it too late to expect him to change?

Trigger warning: this post contains nasty bahaviour. Sorry!

My husband and I are together for 20 years, married for 15. In general, my husband has very good hygiene, but he has two habits that really get under my skin.

The first one is picking his nose and then eating the booger. Just writing this makes my skin crawl, honestly. Blegh. He will do this while sitting on the couch watching TV, while in the car or mid conversation.

The other one is not using a clipper to clip their nails. He just tears them off. And the worst part: he does this while driving and the casually throws the nail on the floor of the passenger seat. When I get into our car, I feel like I'm getting a ride from Jeffrey Dahmer or something. Really freaks me out!

Anyway, I'm bad at hiding my discust. Or I've gotten worse maybe. The nose picking was there since the beginning of our relationship and I've commented on it frequently but eventually gave up. At the same time, I think it's insane behaviour for anyone over the age of 6.

The nails in the car is pretty recent and I've also commented on this. I've told him that I really don't want him to do this, but he hasn't stopped.

He just came home from a weekend trip and I out first convo back he picked his nose and ate it. I made a face and asked him to stop. Then, a few minutes later he started tugging on a toe nail and apparently I couldn't hide my discust.

He got up to take a shower and said "great to be back home, sorry that I'm so discusting to you!" in an angry voice.

I feel bad that he feels judged. Maybe I should accept that this is who he is? He's great otherwise and I'm far from perfect myself.

How do I navigate this situation?

TLDR: my husband has bad habits and I'm not sure to discuss it with him or let it go.

Pretparken vergelijkbaar met Sprookjeswonderland?

Hoi! Mijn autistische zoon van 10 is gek op pretparken, maar durft niet in attracties. Zo waren we laatst in Slagharen en zijn we alleen in de vliegende olifanten geweest. Toch had hij een top dag.

Gisteren waren we in Sprookjeswonderland in Enkhuizen.

Alvast bedankt.
