I just am a little weirdo it has nothing to do with being neurodivergent. If I was neurotypical. I’d still be pretty odd. Even if it does make me odd, what the hell am I not allowed to be? How does me being weird affect you?

I have a personality disorder and people will assume you’re intentionally manipulative. Like no I am not, I have bad emotional regulation. A friend was telling me goodbye they had and nice time , I was convinced that they were going to abandon me and were trying to let me down easily. Like someone unaware of how bad emotional dysregulation would assume I’m trying to guilt trip or something.

The list can go on but it’s so weird. I just have to internalize a lot of emotions and thoughts incase I’m wrong about something. People don’t get what hell that is. When you feel something is wrong and can’t fully explain it. So instead of saying anything you think about it and think about it. Where mentioning it (even if you are right) seems odd because it makes people think you want to start drama.

I have a friend online with multiple sclerosis (MS) and we spoke about neurodivergence and labels with it. She asked me if I considered it apart of the neurodiversity spectrum. I told her it wouldn’t really be my place to say as I’m not an authority nor expert. I live with neurodivergence and my family has ASD/ADHD/bipolar/etc.

My understanding is that literature doesn’t include neurodegenerative disorders. Which I haven’t heard a good explanation as to why it’s not considered a neurotype. If anyone can fill me in professional or unprofessional.

I also found myself thinking the intention of Judy Singer popularizing neurodiversity was to include all to normalize conditions like autism, adhd, etc. That way people realize the human brain has a lot of variety and how people process/live life. If anyone wants to fill me in on their thoughts or opinions please let me know.

Edit: incase my post isn’t clear. I am neurodivergent I have a personality disorder and bipolar disorder. I have family with autism/adhd and other neurodivergent conditions.

My friend asked me because she’s not familiar with the term neurodivergent if she is. I’m not trying to say she is or is not as it’s not place. I am not wanting to say everyone is neurodivergent or isn’t. That’s not my intention and I don’t feel that’s my place.

Normally I don’t really care about this stuff but this gave me such an ick. Being Latina and being called spicy gives me just a bad vibe. Then being diagnosed with a personality disorder hearing neurospicy in reference to neurodivergence makes me feel disgusting. Like I’m being sexualized.
