Is anyone else losing their mind over wedding planning?

I seriously underestimated how stressful this would be. 😅 We started off saying we’d keep it simple and just do the basics, but somehow I’ve spent the last three hours debating over chair colors and flowers I didn't even know existed.
It’s just... one thing after another. Every time I think we’ve sorted a part of the budget, something else pops up. I’m starting to feel like I’m planning a corporate event instead of a wedding. Does it ever get easier, or am I just overthinking everything?
Would love to hear how you guys are actually surviving this without going crazy.

Where is everyone printing their DIY stationery and programs without breaking the bank?

Hey everyone! We are trying to keep our budget strictly under control, so I’ve decided to DIY all of our ceremony programs, menus, and table signs to save some cash.

The designing part is going great, but now I’m hitting a wall with the actual printing process. I want decent-looking paper (not just standard thin printer paper), but some local print shops and Staples are quoting me way more than I expected for a small order.

For those who DIYed their paper goods, where did you get them printed? Did you find an affordable online service (like Prints of Love, VistaPrint, etc.), or did you manage to print them at home with high-quality cardstock?

Would love any budget-friendly recommendations or hacks! Thank you so much!

Trying to save money on programs, so I'm DIYing a 'wedding newspaper' for guests. What sections are absolutely necessary?

Hey everyone! After losing my mind last week trying to organize everything, I decided to tackle the ceremony programs. I really want something unique that guests will actually read (and not just throw away).

I’m planning to design a Vintage Newspaper style guide that doubles as a ceremony timeline and a fun read while people are waiting for everything to start.

Since I'm doing the layout myself, I'm trying to decide on the content. So far, I'm thinking of including:
- A brief timeline of the wedding day
- A fun 'How we met' mini-crossword or trivia
- Special thanks to our parents and the bridal party
- A little "fun facts" section about us as a couple

If you did a wedding newspaper or something similar for your big day, what sections did your guests love the most? Or what should I absolutely avoid adding?

Would love some feedback and ideas before I start formatting the whole thing! Thanks in advance!

Why does wedding planning suddenly make everyone an expert?

Maybe it’s just me, but has anyone else noticed that the second you get engaged, everyone becomes a wedding expert?
We’ll mention a venue, and someone says it’s too far. Mention a budget, and it’s too low. Mention a guest count, and it’s too small. Mention a guest count that’s bigger, and suddenly it’s too large.
I knew wedding planning would involve decisions, but I wasn’t prepared for having every decision reviewed by family, friends, coworkers, and random people I’ve barely spoken to in years. 😂
What’s the most ridiculous or frustrating wedding advice you’ve received so far?

Wedding math makes no sense 😂💍

Me: We’re keeping it simple and staying on budget ✨

Also me:
“It’s only $30 more…”
“It’s only $50 for nicer chairs…”
“It’s only $80 for extra flowers…”
“It’s only $100 for custom signs…”

…later looking at the final total 👁️👄👁️💸

What was your biggest “it’s only…” wedding expense? 😂👇

What’s one thing you wish someone had told you before planning your wedding?

I’ll go first: I had no idea how quickly the “small” expenses would add up. Things like signage, guest books, favors, and alterations ended up costing way more than I expected.

What was the most unexpected expense during your wedding planning?

I’ve been trying to budget for everything, but I keep hearing that there are always unexpected costs that come up.

For those who already planned their wedding, what was something you didn’t initially think about but ended up costing more than expected?

Would love to learn from your experience so I can be better prepared.
