My skin has been getting drier since I started working out looking for lightweight soothing/moisturizing product recommendations

Hi everyone,

I recently started working out more, so I’ve been sweating a lot and showering/washing my face much more often than before.

My skin was never particularly dry, but lately (maybe frequent washing?) it feels noticeably drier and more sensitive. After cleansing, my skin often feels tight and sometimes even a little stingy.

Because of that, I’ve been looking for gentle, lightweight products that I can reapply multiple times without irritation.

Recently I started using Tone28 serum and cream, and so far they seem to work really well for me. I can reapply them after washing without irritation, and they feel nicely hydrating. I also tried their shampoo bar, and surprisingly I like that too—very gentle but still cleansing.(Attached a photo of the products I’m currently using for reference!)

Has anyone else experienced:

- skin becoming drier or more sensitive with age?

- skin barrier issues from frequent showering/washing?

- scalp getting oilier after starting regular workouts?

Would love to hear if anyone has had a similar experience

And I’d really appreciate recommendations for lightweight, gentle products that work well in this situation. :)

Skincare beginner picks? Anyone who didn’t really do basic skincare before?

I used to never really use toner or lotion, you know? My skin was naturally oily, so I hated anything that felt greasy and didn’t want to put on heavy products. But now… I guess I’m getting older. Right after washing my face, or even just sitting and working during the day, I can actually feel my skin getting dry and kind of stinging?!

So I panicked a bit, searched for something new for sensitive skin, bought it, and started using it.

I think it’s finally getting a bit better now. When I was younger, I didn’t need any skincare and my skin was totally fine so I don’t know why it’s suddenly become this dry.

Am I the only one who’s been kind of clueless about skincare? Anyone else who didn’t use anything even into their 30s?

Also, I’d love recommendations on what else I should add.

I’m the type who’s super lazy and hates anything that’s a hassle. And you know how those sheet masks drenched in essence or ampoule were all the rage for a while? Feels like they still are…

But honestly, I hate how they drip everywhere when I put them on and stick to my hair. So I’d usually just throw away the leftover essence or smear it on my body. But when I look online, everyone says those kinds are more effective and absorb better. Are they really that good? I’m kind of on the fence.

So I’ve been looking into it, and I heard gel masks are trending in Korea these days... is that true? Apparently they don’t drip even if you move around, which sounds super convenient. If I buy them, do you think I’ll end up using them more often?
