Coming off of bupropion SR 100mg after 6 weeks.

I added it to my 100mg Zoloft and for the first few weeks I felt INCREDIBLE. Mentally sharper which is why I started taking it (Buspar made me feel like a dummy). Then noticed myself starting to feel pretty antsy and uncomfortable so my psych told me I can just quit no problem, might be a little uncomfortable but wait it out no biggie. Today was my first day not taking and I feel SO tense and like I can’t sit still or relax. Has anyone been on SR for a short amount of time gotten off without big issues or am I screwed for a few months?

My experience- currently on Welloft

trigger warning- SI

About 11 months ago now I slowly tapered off lexapro after being on it for 7 years, thinking I didn’t need it anymore. 3 months after that, I went into a horrible spiral of anxiety and depression. I always dealt with panic attacks but my depression was never that bad. I was at the point where I thought about harming myself. I was scared. I was put on Prozac and that made it worse, quickly got off. Next Zoloft. Took a few weeks at 25 mg to feel something but QUICKLY went up to 100 mg due to the severity of my anxiety and depression (I was hardly functioning). Taking Ativan daily just to get through.

Had bad night sweats and insomnia. Those were the big two. Added Buspar and that caused horrible brain fog. Couldn't remember the alphabet. Lowered Zoloft to 75 mg. Night sweats stopped. Depression came creeping back in. Tested vitamin D, B12, all that and they were low so fixed that stuff. Brain fog still prevalent. Got off of buspar, and increased Zoloft to 100 mg again. Night sweats didn’t return!!! I was so happy, as this was my biggest fear. I’ve been taking magnesium glycinate before bed which helps so much with the sleep.

The brain fog got better, but not perfect. We decided to add Wellbutrin SR 100mg. I felt GREAT for a few weeks, but the past two weeks Ive felt so antsy and unable to sit still. Most likely going to take away the Wellbutrin or switch it to XL because it did work for me.

The kicker here is that I have not had a panic attack since Christmas. I don’t remember the last time it’s been that long. I still feel anxious sometimes but I can calm myself down just fine. The things that used to send me into an immediate spiral don’t anymore. I don’t need Ativan anymore. The one time I took it since made me feel terrible for days after which made me realize I was dependent on it.

I‘m exercising again, eating better, smiling, laughing, going outside, talking to my friends. I’m happy I didn’t give up on myself like I wanted to. I’m happy to still be here. I will probably be on Zoloft for life and I’m okay with that. I do have some sexual side effects, but the Wellbutrin has really helped with that. I don’t have any weight gain, especially compared to what I experience with lexapro. SSRIs saved my life on multiple occasions, and I’m forever grateful.

I watched true detective S1, it was good but not jaw dropping twist good if that makes sense. Acting was absolutely phenomenal and is the exact type of show I’m hoping to find. How are the other seasons?

I’ve also seen Mare of Easttown, Task, The Killing, and broadchurch. Hoping for more suggestions like these. I have a long list and it’s overwhelming, and no show on it seems to fit with this genre!
