Does it make sense to have both VOO and VTI?

Just that question. Since there’s so much overlap, does it even make sense? I have put some money in
VOO, VTI and QQQ. But I see people mentioning them as somewhat exclusive. Am I doing something wrong?

Used Crosstrek advice

I’ve test driven a few cars, and I really like the Crosstrek especially for the paddle shifters. However, I’m torn between trying to buy a used car from CarMax vs going on true car or kbb and finding dealers around me to buy from.

If I get from CarMax, maxcare is a good peace of mind.

Vs

Not buying from CarMax, I see that the same cars with similar mileage are listed for about 1-2k less(on a car that costs 15k) on true car or kbb. So maxcare + that saving of the upfront cost feels like it’s worth it given that Subaru themselves also do pre purchase inspections.

Any peculiarities to consider in this situation?

Maxcare and carvana care worth it?

I'm looking to buy a car in the 12-15k range. After exhausting every option by experience (new car, leasing a car), I have come to the conclusion that the wise people in this subreddit who have in my previous posts recommended me to buy a reliable used car were actually right. (surprise surprise - but as a 25 yo, i had to challenge it).

Now, I see the kind of posts I see here about absolute batshit scammy used car sales people out there, and I think I'm only going to go to them to test drive the cars in case they have <that car> in <that year>, so i know the features are what i expect, and then buy off carmax or carvana.

(the only thing I really care about is apple car play, cuz i need maps, and I figured I could just get an add on tablet off amazon for 200$)

So, given this context - I am only able to find cars with >120k miles on them within my budget and that makes me want to bake in the cost of maxcare into my 15k budget, which further narrows my options, but makes life more peaceful. Should I include it, or is it optional if I'm looking at CRVs, Outbacks and Mazdas - preferably with one owner and 0 accidents?

East coast is so much cheaper?

I live in California, and have been looking at car leases in the area go for say 300$ for corollas and Subarus etc. I’m currently visiting New York, and the ads I’m getting are for like 99$ for civics and 87$ for some other sedan I don’t remember.

Why are the prices so wildly different for the same car! What’s the catch
