I know this will sound like a dumb or sarcastic question but I'm a parent who spends a lot of energy going to get balls hit by kids and the question is real.

In many "look at my new bat" and "what a great pitching machine" video on this sub, somebody is in a field or on a farm somewhere cranking 200 ft+ hits out into nowhere. Are they throwing away the balls? Are they spending two hours picking them up? Do they have a vehicle? A drone? A ball-seeking dog?

Sincerely curious. If there's any easier way to do this, I want to know.

ETA: If the answers are all "we just walk around and get them", that's fine. I just thought there was something clever I was missing. Finding balls in tall grass is no walk in the park.

I don't have anything wise to say... I'm just fascinated by Whitmore's seemingly overnight turnaround. She's hit 8 home runs and her OPS shot up to 1.785, second in the league (behind Benites, of course).

I know her explanation is that she settled in... it just goes to show you how much of the sport is in your head.

I know everyone's grumpy about the two-button pullovers that are being sold in the team stores. Watching the games, however... is it possible the players are also wearing faux buttons? I haven't scrubbed the footage but the buttons don't seem to move much when the players swing or bend.

My Transunion and Equifax accounts are fine but something is very broken with Experian. After a month of trying to untangle this I'm hoping someone here has an insight. I'm 95% certain I need to write/upload/mail a letter but I'm not sure to whom or what I should be asking.

In short, I can't create an online account (free or paid) or get verified by the phone system. Over a month of trying to get it fixed has led only to dead ends. Here is what I know.

• I don't see anything wrong on my credit report other than two addresses where I never lived (but had cards sent). I'm getting those fixed.
• I don't see any sign of fraud.
• If I try to create a free online account it pre-populates with an old address but no matter what I enter I get "Oops we're sorry". Same for creating a paid membership.
• If I call any number (I've trued more than 10) the automated system "can't verify my identity at this time" and redirects me to the website.
• Membership can't create a paid account "because of a possible security risk".
• Disputes can send me a credit report by mail but not online.
• annualcreditreport.com doesn't work because it requires the free online account.
• I can get ProtectIt and IdentityWorks but those are different accounts that are (technically) not Experian accounts.
• My account does not appear to be "mixed".

Can anyone tell me, authoritatively, what is wrong with my account so I know what to ask for when I send a letter?

The program overview says

So which is it? As much as you want or your entire balance? And what happens if you have more Bilt Cash than you have housing payment to unlock?

I have a Bilt Palladium and a single AU. I believe the sign up bonus includes $300 Bilt Cash although I don't see the cash anywhere in my account. Three questions:

• Should I see the $300 in my account or is after $4k spend like the other two SUBs?
• I am housing only and hit the 1.25x level. Is the optimal play here to buy one accelerator this year, roll $100 forward, and buy two accelerators next year?
• Does any of this math change because of the AU?

I'm hoping someone can put eyes on this list of tools to see if I have what I need to triage my 30-year-old box of USB cables and learn more about USB-C wiring than I probably need to:

• Treedix TRX5-0865-A ($19)
• multimeter from my bench
• Alientek C2 Std ($51)
• Atorch DL24 (new version, adapter board, no power supply) ($46)
• Atorch DL24 case (DL24-NEW-V2) ($14)
• USB-C power supply for DL24 from under my bench

I am an electrical engineer who used to build robots and is now really a software engineer but I've gotten really tired of flaky USB charging and data cables and power bricks. My goal is to figure out, once and for all, which cables and power supplies have which pins and wires, which are flaky, and how much data/power they are really passing.

I dug through the posts on this sub, did a bunch of other research, and even talked to AI (yeah, I know, but I'm trying to save y'all from my dumbest questions).

I know the C2 is overkill but I like meters and at least it's not a KM003C.

Am I missing anything important? Any suggestions?

Once in a while I seem people posting about teaching a right-dominant kid to bat lefty (instead of righty) because it's valuable. Or because it's "natural" (see: frisbee).

Is a right-dominant kid batting lefty (not switch) a real option for most kids, just an option for kids who are predisposed, or a rare thing people just like speculating about?

I have a 9 y/o and a 6 y/o who both write and throw righty. The 9 y/o started late so they wouldn't have much to unlearn. Intellectually I like the idea of having them hit lefty. I can't tell if that's a real option or if I'd just be torturing them.

Is this a real option?

I've been staring at these two Little League diagrams for field layout for a week and I can't figure it out.

On the Junior/Senior field layout there is a 2' and a 4' perpendicular to the 1st base foul line. There is also a 3' but that's the runner's lane. On the Minor/Major layout ther eis a 1'6", 2'6", and 2', none of which seem to be the runner's lane.

I know that dirt-path-width isn't mandated so I don't think it's that. But they also have dimensions for the dirt area around the bases so maybe it is?

What are those measurements?
