My favourite representation of literary conflicts. Judge me and also try to guess the next one. Day 5 - Man vs Self - Crime and Punishment

Man Vs Self - Crime & Punishment

A kind man broken by his circumstances, Rodya's struggle with his madness is a piece of art in the world of literature.

I a bit busy today so I won't be writing too much. Also it's Crime and Punishment. Do i even need to explain myself.

My favourite representation of literary conflicts. Judge me and also try to guess the next one. Day 3 - Man vs God - 1984

Man vs God - 1984

Ok I know this one sounds weird at first, there is no first fighting god in 1984 , there isn't even any literal deity in it. But I think Winston's conflict with Big Brother is a great representation of Man vs God conflict.

Big Brother, i believe is the best representation of God in fiction if you compare it to real life.

His photo is everywhere , it's written everywhere that he is watching you. The ones in power use his name to justify their authority and do the most inhumane acts. You can't go against him, you can't say he is wrong.

And the most important part, no one knows if he is real. No one knows if he ever existed. All we know is that it is said he has created the world as it is and you are forced to accept that he has done a good job.

And Winston has to live in this world, the world which suffocates him every second and when he goes against it, the people who call themselves the followers of 'Big Brother' break him till he accepts his fate.

My favourite representation of literary conflicts. Judge me and also try to guess the next one. Day 2 - Man vs Man

Man Vs Man - Fate/Zero

To be more specific Kirei vs Kiritsugu. The best parallels I have ever seen in fiction .

Both didn't meet each other before their final fight and didn't even exchange a word, but still their dynamic is probably the best in all of Fate.

The scene of both of them admiring and understanding each other as a threat in the first episode was such a great introduction.

Both are the exact opposites of each other. Kirei is an evil man who acts good in hopes of feeling something. Kiritsugu is a good man doing evil for the sake of greater good.

Kirei's admiration and envy for Kiritsugu turning into hate was greatly executed.

And the whole Banquet of Kings scene, showing ideological differences between the three kings is just a cherry on top.

My favourite representation of literary conflicts. Judge me . Day 1 Man vs Nature

Man vs Nature - Goblin Slayer

Not the greatest written, I agree. But i really like how it represents it.

A Madman fighting against what is basically an unstoppable force of nature. He can kill a hundred goblins but thousands will be born by the time he is done.

People think he is crazy , some think he is weak but he keeps going because he understands what kind of destruction goblins can bring.

His quest is basically endless, he is not fighting against a person or god , he is basically fighting nature itself.

Yet the story isn't just about him mindlessly going and slaughtering goblins, it gives him enough space to build relationships, yet he finds it difficult because that's how this quest of his has left him.
