MO27U2 monitor - black screen and red pixels along the top

I recently bought an MO27U2 OLED monitor, and after a few days of use the monitor is suddenly immediately going black after displaying an image for only a moment, when my PC has turned off the monitor to save power. At the same time this started, I noticed this (pictured) line of red pixels along the very top of the panel. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what could be causing this?

This is the second M027U2 monitor I've had that developed this exact problem; I've already had the monitor replaced once by the vendor. I'll do it a third time if I have to, but if there's something wrong with my setup that's causing this I'd really like to know about it. I have it plugged into my PC with the DP cable that came with the monitor.

Monitor just showing black screen

I recently got an MO27U2 monitor (Gigabyte) to use with my PC. It was working fine for a few days, but then after Windows did an automatic shut off of the monitors for inactivity, I'm seeing nothing but a black screen. The panel doesn't seem to be defective; I tried a reboot, and Windows did some of its wanting to sign me up for stuff BS (OneDrive, 365, etc.) and that all displayed fine. But after I declined all that and Windows finally started running, the monitor just went black. I've tried all the usual stuff, reboots, power cycling the monitor. Whenever I power cycle the monitor, it always works for just a moment, I can see the desktop, but then the screen goes black, which makes me suspect some piece of software is messing everything up. My system detects the monitor fine and tries to put apps and windows on it, but again, it's just a black screen.

This is a Windows 11 install that's just a few weeks old. The monitor is connected to a Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 with a DisplayPort cable that came with it. Edit: Same issue if I use HMDI instead of DP.

Edit 2: Tried the monitor on another PC, no issues there. Seems to be some software/driver issue

Edit 3: Seems like the problem is Gigabyte Control Center. The only thing I did differently when the problem started was leaving it open when I went away and let Windows turn the monitors off to save power. I finally got the monitor to work again by killing the GCC process and power cycling the monitor.

Edit 4: Now I'm seeing a few all-red pixels on the top of the monitor and its still going black even without GCC running. Might just be a defective monitor after all.
