So now I’m 5 weeks in of 10mg and getting more of the full effects of Lexapro and it’s actually finally helping my OCD, really bad anxiety, and my depression(which is caused from years of anxiety). After reading everything online I was expecting no libido now but it must be because my anxiety was SO bad before at all times but in the past week my libido is basically always high and been waking up with morning wood for first time in ages. Sorry if this is too much info but just thought I’d share that the side effects aren’t the same for everyone. I have been prioritizing sleep,eating real food, running and workouts every day as well to maximize my chances of success of this drug. Also this is this first couple days I’ve been able to process my marriage separation with calm and clarity. Very grateful feeling at the moment.

Hey I’ve had pretty bad anxiety for my entire adult life, and some mild depression, but never really thought about trying antidepressants until recently. I had a really weird past year with my wife that I’ve been with for 9 years and married for 3. was treated like I was doing everything wrong and it got to the point where I went to the doctor to get on something to help my mental health. that was a month ago he prescribed me lexapro. well 2 weeks ago I found my wife’s burner phone and found out she’s been having an affair for the past 9 months. i feel crushed and the lexapro doesn’t seen to be doing a damn thing for my ruminating thoughts and anxiety. I’m taking 10 mg. should it start kicking in soon??
