I (19F) have been dating my boyfriend (20M) for two years now. In general I like his friends, I think they are nice and fun to hang out with. However one of his friends (we’ll call him DJ) has consistently made jokes that my boyfriend is cheating on me throughout the duration of our relationship.

This honestly didn’t used to bother me, but the amount of times that he has brought it up is starting to concern me. DJ will say something along the lines of, “Oh she found out about Stephanie!” or “She doesn’t know about your side chick…”

I’ve always played along and fed into the bait. I assume the name he comes up with is fake (although it is consistently Stephanie).

So my question is, do you guys think this is concerning at all? What would you do in this situation? I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes if it truly is just teasing, but it’s getting under my skin and making me wonder.

My boyfriend (20M) is an EMT and lately he’s been following a lot of his female coworkers. I don’t know if i’m just being silly or if it’s sketchy!

I’ll admit straight up that I do have some self confidence issues that lead me to spiral and be insecure. Lately he’s been talking about his female coworkers almost exclusively. I understand that he works 12 hours with different people, so he’s going to make friends. However, when he follows a girl and I ask about it, he often explains that it’s some random girl that he’s spoken to a handful of times at work. Sometimes they’ll ask for his instagram, or they’ll follow him first without asking.

He tells me that he talks about me 24/7, or she is also in a relationship, or the fact that i’m all over his instagram so “it doesn’t matter”. He also explained that “you need connections in the medical field.” in order to grow and get more references for jobs.

It just doesn’t really make sense to me! Why are you following people you barely know? He follows some of the guys as well. I might be looking into it too deeply. But I don’t know! He also has a private account but claims instagram is less personal than giving a phone number? I don’t know if I agree with that.

The last thing that has been sketching me out, and actually prompted me to make this post, is the fact that he’s been posting on his instagram story way more than he usually does. Typically he posts like once or twice a month, if that. However, since gaining these followers, he’s been posting nearly every day on his story.

So what do you think? am I overreacting? is it worth bringing it up to him? (I already have and it didn’t go anywhere). Does this seem odd to anyone else?
