What risk are you using with a 50k account ?

What is your risk (contract size) for each of your trades and what criteria do you have to meet before you are done for each trading day?

I trade MNQ, MGC and MES and just trying to get a general idea of what everyone is trading and your risk using micros or standards on your accounts.

Beware of Forex Brokerage Fees!

I’ve been trading since 2021 consistently and finally became profitable and with the help of prop firm challenges was able to fund my personal forex trading account in February of this year, I’ve been mainly trading on this account taking an average of 3 trades daily and some swing trading as well. I haven’t been looking over my statements and assumed I was accruing fees but nothing like I expected the first full month of trading I paid 273.00 a month in commissions and the rest of the other months over 400.00 per month totaling around 3000 in fees alone for spreads, fee and commissions! This is outrageous! And since I’ve been trading on props prior to my personal acct I’m going back to trading futures, brokerage fees will break you as a trader is you are not aware of the fees associated with trading. Lesson learned. look at your monthly statements in detail, I know there are fees associated with futures nut nothing like the fees associated with forex. Goodbye Forex!

New Adjuster!

Passed my exam and put the application all in one week and today was the day! I have no idea what to do next but this phase is over thank goodness 😂😂.

Looking to get a staff training job but I’m still working and want to do this part time until I learn enough to grow into a remote desk position/IA or who knows lol.

What’s your recommendation?

I’ve done a lot of reading understand a lot of adjusters say they hate their jobs but I really think I will like it here. Coming from 20yrs of high stress at my current employer and shift work I’m ready for something new so bring it on!!!

Vnotes Hysterectomy 18days post op. Still cannot sit down for an extended time

I have a vnotes hysterectomy, removing my uterus and cervix and keeping my ovaries and at almost 3 weeks it’s still uncomfortable to sit down with pressure between my anus and perineum area, it’s a deep nagging pain so nothing serious but you can tell it is a deep internal pain and only when I’ve been sitting a while and even on cushioned surfaces so most days after moving around and cooking and even doing grocery store runs I come back and lay down. Everything else seems to be healing fine and no bleeding or weird discharge. I was going to go back to a physically demanding job at 4 weeks but not sure that’s smart. I have my post op visit this Thursday I’ve not been on any pain meds since the week after surgery but occasionally if I overdo it will take an ibuprofen 600mg. But usually the discomfort subsides with the position change. How long does this feeling last for most of you?

Day 7 post op

My first real bowel movement, not really any constant pain but any use of my core gives me aches and pain so I’ve been cooking light meals a walking around the house but my generalized weakness is tough to handle. I’ve been taking showers on my own but that takes it out of me and I can’t do much but lay down because if I sit up I feel pelvic floor pressure. So I’ve been in bed off and on when I’m not walking around. I’m not a person who sits still much so this is torture but trying to be patient. Recovery is not too bad but I will get a burst of energy and think I’m going far only for it to deplete before i begin a task.

Vnotes Procedure

5 hrs post op today was THE DAY! And i did it 💪🏾
It was a day surgery that started at 7:30a and I was home by 1:30p. A pretty decent experience considering the process. For those who don’t know Vnotes is a hysterectomy that they enter through your vaginal wall so there are no external incisions and the recovery time is quicker. I’m home with a ton of meds just in case and have only taken an Ibuprofen for mild cramping, I’m getting around well and wish I would have done this sooner. They took out my cervix and uterus due to excessive heavy bleeding that kept my hemoglobin at a 6 even with supplements. My ovaries are still In place. Stay on top of your health and I’m sending healing vibes & well wishes to all who are still struggling ❤️🙏🏾

What you trade has a huge impact on your trading success.

I have been trading forex since 2021 and have been doing well, about a year ago I was introduced to futures and while I love the excitement and liquidity In futures I'm more successful in forex here's my personal reasons that I've experienced.

With forex the pairs I typically trade are nice and smooth and balanced (for the most part)with better predictions due to me knowing and learning each pair over the years, I can basically predict most moves after learning price action and market structure like the back of my hand. It feels comfortable to trade and I can plan my trades with risk and tp and it just feels comfortable but the money isn't as fast as in futures (and I'm OK with that) a slow grind for me is better after maturing in my journey.

With futures trading "for me" its adrenaline central! Opening bell 🔔 anxiety and the full on drive to try and make as much money In that day in my head its like a switch 🙃 flips.

I'm trading my own capital with my forex account and trading prop firms with futures but realized I'm good with just forex for now and it keeps me disciplined and focused. Futures seems to be a distraction for me and God forbid if I try to trade them simultaneously.... it would be a disaster 😕

The moral of the story is trade what fits you, your personality and lifestyle. I love intraday and swing trading and it keeps the anxiety away and keeps me focused ✨️ so I can live on to trade another day.
