TCS AI Career Interview Experience & Expectations

Hi everyone,

I have an upcoming TCS AI Career interview and wanted to understand the interview expectations from people who have already gone through it.

Can anyone please help with these questions?

  1. Will the interview/JD mostly align with the language or tech stack in which we gave the exam?

(For example, if I gave the test in Node.js, will the interview mainly focus on Node.js?)

  2. If my selected language is Node.js, can they still expect Angular/React knowledge even if no JD has been shared yet?

  3. Is DSA expected in the interview?

If yes, what level should I prepare for (basic, medium, LeetCode-style, problem-solving, etc.)?

Would really appreciate any recent interview experiences or insights. Thanks!

25M Software Engineer | Took a risk for career growth and now scared I made the biggest mistake of my life

I’m a 25-year-old software engineer from India.

I was working in a service-based company earning around ₹30k/month. My notice period was 90 days.

After a lot of hard work, I cracked a product-based company offering me ₹91k/month (almost 3x jump). But there was one condition: joining within 30 days.

I took the risk and resigned.

I genuinely tried everything for an early release — spoke to HR, senior managers, explained mental stress, family issues, promised proper KT, documentation, smooth handover before joining, even tried negotiating respectfully.

Still, no early release.

Now I feel completely stuck.

I can’t go back to my old job because I already resigned. I can’t join the new company because the release dates are conflicting.

Mentally, I’m not okay.

My days look like this now:

- Endless Instagram scrolling

- Skipping meals

- No gym

- No talking to friends

- Constant overthinking loop with Claude

- Daily apply but no response from recruiters

- Feeling demotivated and frozen

I keep questioning myself:

Did I do something wrong by being ambitious?

Was wanting a better career a mistake?

And honestly, this fear is killing me:

If someday I get laid off in future, how would I even recover if I’m breaking like this right now?

I’m not looking for sympathy. I want practical advice from people who’ve faced career setbacks, notice period issues, or unemployment phases.

How do I recover mentally and professionally from this situation?

What practical steps should I take from here?

Hey folks,

Need some real-world advice here.

I’m currently working at Accenture INDIA with a 90-day notice period, but I’ve got an opportunity where they want me to join in \~45 days. I’m planning to put my resignation this Monday.

Problem: My manager is honestly very rigid and not the kind who’ll easily agree to an early release.

I’m trying to figure out what actually works in these situations:

Has anyone successfully negotiated down from 90 → \~45 days?

What reasons/stories actually work? (medical, family, higher studies, etc.)

Does buyout realistically help, or do managers still block it?

How much depends on HR vs manager approval in Accenture?

I don’t want to burn bridges, but I also don’t want to lose the new offer.

Would really appreciate practical strategies (not textbook HR answers 😅)

Thanks!
